The optimal pressure is that which allows the tread to lie perfectly flat. Look at the tread from the rear while parked on concrete and adjust pressure till it's flat. Too much air and the edges will curl up, too little and the center will.

I'd go to the 80-90 oil and see what happens. Normally the problem goes away but have seen higher numbers run.

Old story but we used to be the east coast wharehouse for SAME tractors back in the late seventies and had about 300 of them in our yard from time to time. Those that sat for long with out use or movement did give us troubles. Later they had sealed the containers or switched lines and they were better. There should be a grease or slip plate type grease that should help control the problem but other wise use the lock down hook if you can.

That should be covered under warrantee if the unit is under 2 years old. That could be a failure of the pump but one other thing I could suggest quickly is the location of the three point hitch lever.

I don't know about your area but check local codes , most of the towns around here will not let you attach a slab to a foundation due to the fact of frost movement

Top-and-Tilt is a must-have for me. After having it I would never want to be without.

My worst purchase is a 45 foot ladder. We have a really tall house and I bought this to reach the high spots to maintain the satellite dish, replace floodlights, etc. This thing is almost unmanageable for one person. I'd rather spend the money and rent a manlift for a day than wrestle with this monster.

Dennis, From a relatively newer member, I just want to say "THANKS" for your efforts in designing and maintaining this site. As a new CUT owner (purchased a JD 2210 last July) I've learned so much from this site. Murf, 2ndhandlion, KWShumm, Art White, Denwood, Brokenarrow, and all the others who contribute do a great job of helping "newbie" guys like me run our equipment safely. I read much more than I contribute, but that has helped me make a purchases like my Bad River Hitch and Woods Tiller. The site helped me install lights on the ROPS and modify my exhaust with a simple plumbing fitting.<br>

Hi, Thought I would let you know I bought the Cub cadet. I couldn't pass up the deal I got on it. I just love this tractor. It has all kinds of power and really easy to drive and operate. I was able to plow snow with it up hill (10% grade)with out any trouble. I did chain up the front wheels. I just love the hydrastatic drive. I can do things with this tractor that I wouldn't have even thought about doing with my old 8N!!! I got a 5ft. rototiller with the tractor and that works great!! I bought a 5ft. snowblower for it and plan on using it next winter. Have a good day!!

I would think that if you greased it even occasionally (they do have plastic greasing nipples molded into the guard) that the nylon bearings would last forever. I think people just don't take the time to set up the anti-rotation chains. They can be a pain to get connected and adusted the first time, but after that, I don't find them much of a hassle.

Couldn't stay tractorless for long, about drove me crazy. Bought a Case 580se loader backhoe 4x4 cab extendahoe. Compared to the John Deere 110 it's kinda like a dinasour but alot of power, I'm getting used to it, but I don't think it will ever have the agility and balance of the JD. Even though I had alot of problems with the first JD 110 the second one really proved to be a very well designed machine for it's size with just a few minor flaws.

I am having a problem with the lift action of the 3 pt hitch. The tractor has magnetic coils that open valves. The coils seem ok. What else can be wrong?

You might try a fuel additive like power service. You might have gotten some bad fuel or some dirt contamination.
