I got my backhoe from Group Farm Equipment in Bedford.
Not real well organized but his prices sure were good.
I got a Rhino 85 backhoe , subframe and 18" HD bucket for $5200. Nice backhoe, excellant price...

I believe I had the torsion bars cranked a bit to high. I backed them off slightly and have not heard that bang and also have a better ride. The control arms did not change location, only the differential (therefore the axle shafts as well) dropped 2". The control arms angled down 2" more as I tightened up the torsion bars. Very simple set-up...but if I had it to do over, I would opt for the 4" lift even though it is quite a bit more expensive.

Can anyone confirm a price for 2000 CC 7200 w, FEL. Unit is gear tranny, 4WD, and about 150 hours. Asking price is $9500, which seems high as it does not have HSD or any type of mower. No mid PTO either, which means mounting MMM will get pricy, probably about $3K.<br>

I've been looking for a new CUT w/ MMM and FEL, and I just looked at a JD670 (which I believe in similar) that had similar hours, HSD and 60"MMM, asking price was $8850. FEL was NOT included, so I say delaer is way low, although I am usually more in touch with the orange tractors. Geographic location was SW Pa.

I recently saw this on ebay listed by a company I have dealt with before. It is about time someone decided to put an engine worth while in some of these quality mowers that always outlast the inferior engine put in when new. Look at the list of mowers they can retrofit at the bottom of the listing. Some of these mowers can be had really cheap with a blown engine and now they can become better than new.

Ho, sorry, slump is field test for the stiffness of the concrete. It shouldn't slump more than 4" when the cone is removed. You probably wont have a slump cone, have the contractor drop a shovel full of concrete onto the ground. It shouldn't slump into a disk, it should form a pyramid shaped pile off the shovel. If it runs, it's too wet.

Be brave. Take that thing apart. If I remember correctly, there are a few large bolts underneath the seat that hold on a plate. There is another plate at the back, where the upper arm attaches. The lift arms are operated by a single large piston, propelled by the hydraulic fluid. When you pull the lever, fluid is pumped in to push the piston up. Mine got "over extended" and stuck in the "up" position. It is really a rather simple system and hard to mess up. I put it back together with silicone to form gaskets. It works fine now. Good luck

Thaks for the responses. Yep, I think that "Mr. Hacksaw" and me are going to reacquaint ourselves cutting-down a new shaft soon. Don't have a sawzall, but have used them in the past -- nice.

One thing I forgot to mention is the fact that these type of spreaders are for large plots of land IMO. I tried 2 of them and they made more of a mess on my 1 acre of grass becuase of the trees and beds. I'm going back to my push spreader and I sold both PTO 3 Pts this week.

How much land are you looking at doing? If it's a normal yard my opinion is to save your $$ and push. I wasn't very happy with mine. Just too big for a "yard" more for doing a field- just my opinion.

acreguy, Looks like you have the factory r-4's. You can go bigger on the front of your 4100.

I have 24x8.50-12 Firestone Turf and Field's on the front of mine. They provide a 5 percent lead for my 35 inch tall rear tires.

I have a 50' roll of chain link fence rolled around a 2" pipe. Have a logging chain hooked to both ends of the pipe and to the roll of fencing to keep it from rolling. Drag it around behind the tractor. I don't think you can buy a more effective leveler. It works super.
