I put the JD work lights under the brow of my Curtis cab and a NAPA generic round work light under the top of the ROPS. In the 3rd light switch position all the lights come on (tractor headlights and the 3 work lights). With my Curtis cab heater running and when I turn on all the lights the cab heater motor slows down some. The 20a Alternator is a tad too small but I have not experienced any battery problems yet. As far as lighting..wow! It's like a Christmas (bad PC) tree!

Busguy..I put a 190f thermostat in since the stock 160 didn't let my Curtis cab heater let off anything but cool air. The 190 blows hot air and I do snowblowing in a long sleeved shirt at 0f outside. I have run the 190 for about 200hrs and a full 4 seasons and have experienced no trouble.

I do use Power Service at every fill up and let the engine warm for at least 5 minutes before pouring the coals to it. I heard that heads can crack with these engines otherwise.

A temp guage would be nice.

This motor is a "batteryless" EFI. One pull of the rope to charge capacitors to power the pump, the second pull should start it. The pump or capacitors are probably bad. I never owned one of these but know people who did. When they work, they're great. When they don't, they're expensive. :(

The people with "new" '04 trucks have been able to get DC to buy them back. The 3rd generation Rams (2003+) do not have a central axle disconnect, so the front driveshaft allways spins. This is where the vibration is comming from on these. 2002 still has the axle disconnect which stops the front driveshaft from turning in 2wd.

I would suggest to take your truck to a good allignment shop and have the alignment, especially the track bar, checked. How many miles do you have on it? Is it lifted, winch, snowplow? All these things effect the steering and can cause vibrations. Maybe check the u-joints too, even the axle joints can cause a vibration.

I need a new or used Front End Loader for a Model 855 John Deere Tractor. I am told that a loader for a Model 755 or 955 will fit. John Deere or "After Market" Brand . They do have a new hoe for the little guys that have the same hook up as the other models of four point hoe hook ups like the BH90. I don't know that they would go on the older models at all.

Hey all that disagree , That's why they make all sizes for different purposes!! Only the buyer can make that decision anyway ,but for a sloping 5 acres I gave him a legitimate option!!

I use duo-grip or something like that with very good success. It is like the standard ladder chains but each pair of cross chains is linked together by a pair of 2 link connector chains. This keeps the cross chains from slipping between the tractor lugs and serving no purpose. The idea is to get very high psi on the chain contacting ground to force it into the ground/ice and give traction.

WOW, that's a lot of driveway. I really can't comment on the Cadets as I've never really kept up on them. I've got both a 4310 and a 4410 and also some leg problems. These tractors are a true joy to operate and have did everything I've ask of them. I've heard from a dealer that the new 3000 series that is replacing the 42,43, and 44 ten series will have an air ride seat, whether standard or optinal I don't know. And again my old sermon on dealers, If you don't like the dealer you probably won't like the tractor. Frank.

Howdy, folks. The ROPS on my L3130 has two threaded holes on the inner side of each of the ROPS verticals. It seems like this would be a dandy place to attach a couple of tractor lights. <br>

I cannot figure out the size of the hole. I've been running around like an idiot buying metric bolts (yeah, after a lightning bolt struck me and I realized SAE wouldn't fit.).<br>

It appears to take an M16, but I've tried 1.5 and 2.0 pitch; neither lets it screw down very far.<br>

Would appreciate knowing the correct size, and maybe even an online source to buy a couple of bolts.<br>

I have a JD 4110 with a 54" bucket. The bucket is getting beat up due to plowing 300' + gravel drive. I want to get the Replaceable Cutting Edge from JD. However, I learned that it is only available for 61" and larger buckets. Can I get the 61" and have it cut? Also I would have to drill through the bucket. Is that an easy task?<br>

Sorry about the triple entry above. This gizmo kinda has it's little fits now and then. Your right Art I just don't use them often enough and when I do it's usually twenty miles or less. They sit in the shed with something on them most of the time kinda like a storage aerias with wheels on them. Frank.

On my BX2230 to exchange the snowblower for the FEL would take about 15 minutes. (Remove blower, quick mount, attach FEL) I think the FEL will fit over the quick-mount for the blower, but I have never tried it.
