I will be buying chains for tc33da with ind.(r-4)tires soon. 1 mile long dirt/gravel uphill driveway.Tirechain.com was a wonderfull reference. Looking for comments/thoughts/ideas before buying. Thanks

Farm or the large open double ring chains are meant of open fields with deep snow or in muddy conditions. Bus or truck small ring chains are better for on ice as they normally have squarer edges. I'd say I think your main problem would be ice? I would recommend lowering your air pressure to allow the maximum flexibility of the tire for the largest foot print for best traction. Even chains spin with little or no traction gains over proper tires. On blacktop often turf tires give the best traction. ....

I use duo-grip or something like that with very good success. It is like the standard ladder chains but each pair of cross chains is linked together by a pair of 2 link connector chains. This keeps the cross chains from slipping between the tractor lugs and serving no purpose. The idea is to get very high psi on the chain contacting ground to force it into the ground/ice and give traction. ....

you may want to consider North State Supply,,they are HUGE in tire chains and all types of tractor weights,,800-843-4567,,it is sure worth a call,,!! ....

I went with V-Bar cross links spaced every 2 links apart.

To my suprise they weight 100 lb.s each!

Be careful that you order correctly as ups shipping charges are $100 per chain. ....
