Hey thanks alot AV8, I thought I heard something about kerosene. I will do the anti gel agent to. So will the winter blend be good enough after I refil? Also should I keep it topped off for the winter or will it get bad if I dont use it soon enough? Which is worse, a half empty tank or fuel that may of sat for 3-4 months?

I have 700 pounds of steel on the 4115, between the wheel weights and the Bad River Hitch, plus 285 pounds of me.

I have found that the longer wheelbase and heavier base weight of the 4115 lets me get by with a little less ballast weight than the 4100.

I think $24,000 would pretty much be about standard. I paid $26,500 or so with tax for a 4310 with 47 backhoe in April 2003. Make sure you get the heavy duty bucket. Go to any John Deere dealer - you will probably get the same deal.

I definitely agree with going Hydro for the Manuverability, but I'm not sure its enough for a 6' Brush Bull. I use a Lt Wt 5' Bush Hog with a 30 Hp tractor fairly well, but wouldn't want to go up another foot with just 2 more Hp. In heavy grass it bogs down. With the hydro trans, you can compensate pretty easy, but its annoying to have to slow down. You may find yourself wanting more power fairly often.

That method would be strong enough. The only concern I would have is getting them set in a straight line. I would <br>
set up a string on stakes beyond your builing corners and <br>
use the galv.brackets Beagle referred to. They work well for 6x6 posts. I would just stick a 6" bolt through the bracket into the wet cement. Alignment is crucial.<br>
I would also throw some 1/2 " rebar into those footings<br>
I criss cross mine with 3-4 pieces. The last one I did I used "Elaphant feet" with sona tubes. It is a funnel shaped piece of plastic that the sona tube sets into. So that you can pour your footing and tube at the same time. The shape of them(upside down funnel) prevents frost from lifting them.If you are interested I will get the exact name of the product for you.<br>
I am of the school of thought that foam under your slab is a good idea. One winter you may decide not to heat it,I believe this will keep the frost from getting under your slab and heaving it. The poly under your cement serves another purpose as well as the vapor barrier, it prevents<br>
the floor from drying too fast when poured. The longer you keep it wet the harder it will get. When able I spray with a hose daily for a week.If it hot weather,get you roof on first. BTW 3500lb cement is only a few dollars more than 2500lb mix.<br>

OK, I see some of it. The 4-in-1 I purchased is about the same size as the stock bucket.

I have had the rear end come up a few times, but you learn to lift slowly if you aren't sure of the weight.

But this has happened with a bucket of gravel as well as with gripped loads.

I have loaded rear tires, and sometime have a grader box on. I don't want any more ballst, because I don't want to over stress the frame; although I would assume the relief would kick in before I could damage the frame on a straight lift. Once you have it lifted and are driving across the field, I guess the potential shock loads are another story.

I take it you saying that it is assumed a 4n1 will be used to "over lift" fairly often.

I will admit that may be a valid assumption. I'll try to keep that in mind. The same should probbably be said for all of us that have welded hooks on the bucket or have fork attachments as well.

Personally I hope all stores and restaurants and service places in general would give personalized service. It does not take that much extra effort to be nice and care about what someone says. I did not mean to get on a soap box but it is easy to look for negatives but there are also many positives. We live in a global society. Very few things will be 100% American. I remember laughing at Japanese products and now they are the best quality. Anybody think a GE TV or VCR is made by General Electric? How about RCA. Nope they make none of them. It is owned by Thompson Electronics of FRANCE and made in China. What irritates me is they use US brand names but they are not even the companies they pretend to be. It should be outlawed.

with kubota equipment, there is sometimes sticking in the transmissions. Just try backing up a little farther , just to engage the transmission, and then try again to take it out of gear. This works with my 3710
