Hello. need help with 4 wheel drive. lever is moving. have drained fluid nto see . removed inspection plate. when you try to engage 4 wheel is the shaft on which the gear slides supposed to move or just the gear. can anyone help? would greatly appreciate.

I have the same problem and this seems to work - when I first start up the tractor I let it warm up a bit but I also turn the steering wheel end-to-end (all the way left and then all the way right) about 2 or 3 times. This seems to get all the air bubbles out and then the tractor seems to turn better. I notice a big difference in steering when I forget to do this. My thinking is the system gets air into the system when its cold and you just have to work it out before you start out. Works for me!<br>

I think your right where its a valve letting air in versus the pump because turning the wheel (getting the air out) seems to fix the issue each time.

I have that exact tractor and my loader is a bulldog 285 lot of them around and it connects to frame and not engine.Great loader and strong.Id start with ebay and craigslist,

The fuel sender on this tractor is finicky. You can bend the float mount to read the proper levels. If it is already floating at correct levels for full and empty you need to check the wound copper wires that are on the bottom of the sender. These wires are engaged by the finger that increases or decreases the signal as it moves up and down on these wound wires. Make sure it is making contact from top to bottom. If not some clever bending can solve this. If it is then you may need a new sender unit. I would be glad to sell you one or answer any questions you may have.
