The CX is basically the same as a 574 of IH's past. A good tractor chassis with a weak parking brake issue! It is a transmission brake so it can be over run by the engine if the operator is not awake.
The CX was the last series of those chassis tractors and ran a perkins engine. ....

Try raising and lowering the hitch arms on the dial. I'd be changing the fluids if the filter was clogged. ....

Did you change your hyd oil? That tractor should have remote hydraulics on it (well in the US it did) if so and you can try using those to see if they work. Now typing that no idea on the dial you are talking about (my case from then was smaller with no cab) but are you using the correct controls for the lift some for the remote if so equipped and for the lift arms separate controls. Also look for linkage not connected. Again not certain this will apply to your model but if there is a knob under the seat to adjust the oil flow it might be closed and preventing the lift raising. Sorry don't know the controls on that machine. ....

You should have changed the oil if the filter was that bad. Sitting is not the best thing for equipment of any kind.
Try changing the draft control and see if the hitch responds. ....

thanks for your replys, after alot of messing about, i had floor out and seat and panels.think i ajusted a earth and the codes stopped showing up so i thought i was getting closer. then the arms moved down. i read somewhere about the solinodes on top of back axle. i got a small screw driver and pushed it in and this lifted the arms. since this happened they have worked perfectly.
cheers dylan ....

And for those following the thread from this side of the 'big pond' "a earth" means "a ground" in the electrical sense.

So it seems it was an electric control issue, a bad ground and loose solenoid.

Best of luck. ....
