Joel, we are only about 52 degrees today.

That is just wrong, right! When we have our 100 degree days in July and August (most years we have a few) that is sort of an offset I guess. People will say you get use to where you live but how you work with frozen this and frozen that for weeks on end you all impress me. kt

It is my understanding if you have roll bar wear seat belt, if not do not wear seat belt. That being said I have wondered on such a roll onto it's side as this how well it will hold you from hitting before the roll bar does. I have canopy on both my tractors and the option of jumping clear is not there.

Ken I did not realize your wife was disabled, sorry to learn that.

As to shop there are many options to one and maybe you can find a workable option. We don't have snow load as a major concern here and there are some reasonable priced metal buildings.

Some points to begin with:
What will you be cutting? That will determine if rough cut or finishing mower.
How wide, if possible you need to cut at least as wide as the outside width of your rear wheels. That will be as wide as I think you will want for the size tractor hp you have.
I would begin new to get idea on price if nothing else and what brands are in your area for service work needs.
If you are looking used for rough cut mower for certain and even finishing mower would want to hear it run and would want to see it cut if possible. Check oil levels in the gear box, check the PTO shaft for loose universal joints, check there is either slip clutch or shear bolt and ask how they operate. You need to look at blades but they are consumer items but you don't want to have to replace above them.
Allow plenty of time for shopping use and look at ebay, Craigs list, tractor company such as JD and Case web sites. One thing that would concern me on this size rough cut mower is if they were using a light weight one on a tractor of say 50 HP or more as it may have been used very hard compared to what it was designed for especially if no shear bolt or slip clutch.
Not being smart here for no idea how much you have used a rough cut mower but they are dangerous,be careful. kt

My main business has really been time demanding this summer and fall but is getting more normal now and allowing me some time to think on Christmas and Christmases past.<br>

We all experience similar events in life so want to share some thoughts with you:<br>
FYI I am a 60 year old granddaddy who is blessed with great children, sons in law and four grands from 2 months to 10 years. It is a blessing to sit and watch them as they perform in a Christmas Program and as you see the excitement in their eyes. It is now harder to think of what my wife wants as in my eyes she is as I am have all our needs and most of our wants.<br>
It is my desire to find what she would cherish. It is fun to try and solve that mission.<br>
I also find myself thinking back to those who did share Christmas with and now miss them. Still have some of the box of shotgun shells my Daddy gave me his last Christmas 44 years ago and wonder how important any one gift may be or become. <br>
<br>
I could go on and on have set the stage for where i want to:<br>
take time to think of those you love and who love you. Share your heart with them as you give them the best gift you can, your heart and time. Reflect on the blessings you have had in life and appreciate them but more so the ones yet to come.<br>

Reflect on the reason there is even a Christmas and how your relationship is with the Christ.<br>
<br>
In doing so want to thank each of you at TP and yes I do think on some no long here; all being a blessing to me. Many of you have made me laugh, helped me out in a decision, helped me make a wise decision. For all of that I thank you and look forward to more.<br>

It is on the web right heavy and Home Depot has a neat youtube video on it but I wonder if the man there mixed at their ratios and if so it looks like it takes a lot.

See you gave the carb a good cleaning..but to me it is just what our Gator did due to ethanol gas and required some work to the carb I think with some parts replacement. Well bill was about $150 maybe a little more.

My parents lost a house they built to fire before there was such as house insurance and never recovered the loss. It was about 7 or 8 years before I was born.

You need to have a picture inventory of your property stored off location. A video is best describing the item as you go.

I would first be sure how the building codes come into play for you. Either way would find a "trust" person who sells and designs them. Think that will save you a good bit of time and worry. KT

How about locktite on those clamp bolts? I do not know this clamp at all but that would seem to be a solution either with self locking nut or locktite.

Schlu42 to TP. Did you look at the link on they hay baler above? Not sure on the 4710 hp but think it is larger than the required 30 hp they show. Now your finding a hay baler like this may be a different issue without ordering it. You may should begin a new thread on this topic for think it might get better attention. kt

Do you have a wiring diagram and are you using a meter to check the current as it enters and leaves a switch or any other connection? If not think you will be fortunate to find the issue unless it is simple broke wire or blown fuse.

It could be a switch, relay, the gauges or sending units is defective or ground is loose, both hard to find with out those two items. I wasted time and money and did have meter and have years of experience with electrical but not on that tractor. Shop would have saved me money. kt

I am not sure how much fescue is used in my area the most popular grass is centipede for the home lawn due to it's low maintenance. We have I think zenith zoysia which is a bladed grass and not the zoysia used in cooler climates. It can be mowed with rotary mower and planted from seed. Wile we were clearing our land we planted I think red fescue on the first part ready and if it lived one summer that was it and it just died out.

Talked with the rep for the company who developed our type of zoysia and he said use rye but not fescue. Bermuda is used here a good bit where subject to wear but it needs to be mowed about ever four days here is my understanding while our zoysia normally ever week if fine unless lots of rain while centipede is once a week to once every two weeks.

I may be missed what is being talked about here but in my part of the world timber and pulpwood are both major income sources. Planned planting and growing of pines is very major here with large land owners and especially the land owned by the timber companies. Not sure the spacing they use but too close for them to grow to timber and about 10 years old they cut every third row giving room for the other two to grow. (this would only be good for pulpwood or fence post.) Funny how much of this I see not to be sure on this part but think most let those two rows grow for about 10 more years and often harvest ever other row of those and then come back for the third row a few years later. Now hardwoods here are left to reseed them self and are normally clear cut.

Have not notice the use of large skidders here being reduced. kt

If not does it use electricity to shift the transmission in any manner? Would look for blown fuses, cut wires or blown flue link wire. kt
