You should also check the diesel fuel for water in it and install new filters possibly drain the tank before you get gelled or worse fuel in the pump and injectors. At least check the fuel by draining some of it.

I don't understand the Democrats at all. First remember I am in South Carolina the state that fired the first shots on the Union. We had I think our first black state senator to win a major primary and they attacked him! Why, he beat the person they wanted and I have no idea if he was pink, yellow or what. To me a person who had never held any political office, who had served in two branches of the military and did very little campaigning won they should have said look how fair we are. Forget the guy did not have a good military record (not honorable discharge if memory is correct and had some legal issue but gee I though that would have made him poster child for their party.

As Wal Marts products do vary from region to region and time to time my answer is vague also. My local Wal Mart did sell as good of diesel synthetic oil as there is and also sold a very good none synthetic hyd oil. That was a year or so back and before that their products were well, not that great. About same for TSC here also. They have some of the best and then they have some products I certainly pass on. As Hardwod said be sure what ever brand you buy meets your machine's specs.

Has little to do with filter removal but got shocked to find out our Kohler lawn mower engine and my wife's Avalon used the same oil filter. Knew Kohler had class.

Believe this machine has tendency to have air blockage in the cooling system if not bleed properly. Not 100% sure but think if you do some searching here you will find other post on this same issue.

You were asked if there was some indication of it over heating than the gauge and I don't notice a reply there. I had an engine that played with me on the problem and it turned out the sending unit was defective.

I have cut our grass with CUT and ZTR mower but my mother in law's yard has some good slope to it. Stay off of the slope if wet and but when grass was dry both my wife and I have slipped off the lawn down and through a road ditch. Not the worst ride but gets your attention. Realize on a ZTR you have no steering or traction with the front wheels which and are using the rear wheels for drive and steering and often you are expecting one wheel to be doing all the driving and steering when making sharp tunes and also don't miss the tread difference and size of tires either. Just no way a ztr has the control of a front steer, read drive mower much less a CUT. Also most ZTR run faster than most people will cut with a CUT.

You might have it going by now and I don't know your tractor but some thoughts.

The brush mower, is it on the 3 pth or mid mount? How do you lift it with the tractor off?

What kind of transmission does it have? If it has a HST have you check the oil in it and or changed it and its filter? If manual transmission have you checked its oil?

Sure you are getting full fuel flow? Have you tried losing the line and see if it flows freely?

Are you sure the mower is turning freely?

My only other thought is it could be a safety switch that has gone bad or out of adjustment. But don't see how that would cause it to only move slowly. Which leaves me at my last thought, could your shifter have slipped somehow where it is not in the gear or range it looks to be and also not disengaging the safety switch? You may get someone to work the shifter to be sure the linkage is all moving especially where it enters the transmission.

Dennis, think that is wise. No idea of the comments made elsewhere but the comments just here did not seem proper. If they are truly honest it is a shame they bought so blindly as Ken pointed out. If the company name was being bought then be sure the value of the name, just the same if you were buying used equipment have it checked out if you don't know how to.

But what you have done has not increased the top rpm so the speed would still be the same, correct? You sure seem to have good mechanical ability but with the brakes on our gas gator sure would not want any faster speed (it also runs about 18 mpg or near it). Then the expert on Gators is Gatoraider and he will pick this up no doubt.

Reading the title of your post it seems you have a problem but reading your comments you don't seem to have a question.

If you are having a problem with it running only with choke pulled is then all the time, only when cold, in reference to idling or??

With the changing of filters assume it is a hst transmission. So you were bush hogging when it stopped? I had a small branch jammed my foot pedal once preventing it's movement. It is also possible the linkage was damaged or came loose. <br>

Check your gear linkage also. Does it feel like it is shifting or loose when you move the foot pedal or gear shift lever?

Crunch, in today's world my guess is the adjuster info was to the company within a few minutes of their leaving you.

It does amaze me how much claims service can vary between companies. About 20 years ago we had a wind or very mild tornado that damaged our house as one of the first two hit. A friend of mine was one of the last about 5 miles or so away. The adjuster told my wife we did not have enough damage to meet our $500 or $1,000 deductible and about a month later had to write us a check for over $10,000. The biggest damage to my friends was it blew in three garage doors and blew out the back wall. The adjuster wanted them to reused the materials from the old back wall. Contractor told him sure we can save some on materials but do you have any idea how much that salvage labor will be?

About 3 years later my friends house (which we had insured then) suffered damaged to the roof by a hurricane. Now realize such major events brings in "get the claims handled" attitude but when my friend called the company and spoke to the adjuster he was asked and how much will it cost to repair it? Shocked him, they took one contractor price and mailed the check and never saw the damage that he was aware of. He was the best ad you could ever have. But the second company told it's agents which shocked me, an insured contacts you with a claim on their house for such damage as yours, write them a check if they dollar amount they ask for seems reasonable. Two reasons, the claim can only get larger the more it is argued (what happened with our house) and quick payment builds customers.

Then the same company who handled my friends claim so quickly gave a person I knew who had bought with a different agency pure havoc. He was a young adjuster and let it be known he was going to save the company money on that claim. Sad part was his agent did not care. I furnished him with the company's own documents that proved the adjuster was totally wrong. Of all your insurance polcies the one you do want stored away from your home is the coverage on it, at least a full copy of it.

Thank you Ted and Dennis. I read both of your post and opened up bookmarks in Firefox and clicked on Organize and wow they had an import from IE option. Simple. Now to get them fully into Firefox for it put them all under IE bookmarks. LOL

Dennis, my font settings are as you described. Changed it and then changed it back but did not make any difference.

I can remember when the weather people use to give the temps both ways. For me and realize this would not have worked but had just taken the names I knew such as inch and it be 1/10 of a foot and let it be 1/10 of a yard and that be 1/10 of a mile would have work for my learning the terms. Of course that would be mass confusing.

I never have understood why there is different specs for and forgive me if I get off on these but short ton and long ton? Why not heavy ton and light ton but why not have a ton a ton? Guess that is back to politics, they all tell the truth, just how much of the truth is in their truth?

Hey on my Hero Obama (yep my hero) did you see the Seal of the President drop from podium while he was speaking? Even signs are running from him. Now as I said he is my hero: in my life time I can not think of one other president or other American who has done more to get the real people involved in politics and maybe we will vote the bums out in such as wave as never would have been possible with out his inspiration.

Can you access the wire(s) to it? If so you should be able to. Of course it is there for a real safety reason.

What is the problem with the switch? Could your clutch pedal or the switch not just need adjusting? Also how are you sure it is this switch?

By now you probably have your answer but for me what is blockers? Are you talking about the ears or what ever some cables have to help prevent the bolt from turning? I think my small Kubota might be like you mention and if so use a open end wrench on the nut.

No all Kubotas are not 4 wheel drive. Might be true in some models but not all.
