EW, each has given you some good advice. I was told the jammer is not legal but have no idea. Sure have seen the time I would have used one, legal or not.

This is not the problem it was here, not sure why. But it seems certain resturants have more of this than others. Guess it comes down to who patrols it. A letter to the may give them the "firm complaint" the manager wants to have a valid reason to tell people NO use in here. If you are that regular and you know others regulars ask them to complain also. Also as someone pointed out complain to the chain just in case the manager is a total whimp or deaf and letters to the paper and if you have talk radio call in and ask for suggestions if you are able to get the name of the resturant in the pubic on this it will help others complain about it. If the manager has money smarts he knows it is costing him money.

There there is one more suggestion, if you are in there alone...a headset to stop the noise. Not ear plugs but a big headset so it is obvious.

Do check and see if by chance there is any local law on this. Some places have talked about it, not sure any ever passed a law on it.

As I type this I am leaving for a meeting at Shoney's here. There is no resturant in this town I have complained to the manager on issues more. So I have learned to say, I am not paying for ...

Do remember the way you handle this could affect your business, good or bad. kt

No idea as to the hp but it makes sense an 18 hp tractor would have only 12 at the PTO. It would need 6 hp to drive it. It sounds like the current owner has those implements, ask him to let you see it working. But even if 18 hp at pto, it will need small implements. Doubt you could find a rough cut mower that would be small enough.

You need to see it working in the same conditions you will have for you don't have any extra hp there. That means soil type for tiller along with depth of till and type of grass and thickness for mower. Also ground speed. kt

Norm, I have had ground issues with the back lights on one of my Kubota's and have had wire plugs get pulled loose also. I would check those plug ins and also look for any place the wires could be cut by lift arms or such.

Can be cut and not grounded out to where a fuse would blow. Not likely but have seen it. kt

Very much realize not comparing same furnaces but recently learned many of the tractor trailer load of chips here I thought were for paper production were fuel for their furnances. kt

Has it always done this or recently began? I assume this is in 4 wheel drive. If so and did not just begin have you checked to be sure the tires are the correct size and pressure and even measured the diameter for the left tire compared to the right tire? Have you ever tired turning using your rear brakes? If so can you lock the left one and the right one do the pulling? How do you unlock it when it locks? To me it seems your left wheel is locked from possibly using the rear diff lock and is not releasing or your brake as already mentioned. kt

There are a few options if I understand you are wanting to make beds for such as a garden. They make plows for this and you might be hit with having to make multipible passes due to your hp limit. Have link to a frame for such you use "hiller blades" which look like disc blades with for such and there are also bedding sweeps you can use and if not needing to keep the width the same you can also use a middle buster. Middle buster does have its limits on keeping the bed uniform and you probably will be driving on top of the area you are bedding and thus hurting the tilled soil by pressing it. The soil will have to be tilled for any of these to work. kt

The brand not sure of but was purchased from Lowes four or so years ago. They did have it in both the "boards" and "panels". Not sure now the length of the panels if 8 or 9 foot but were pleased with it very well. We used the panels but can understand the concern with the joint. Guess that is true for any joint though. EW, can not remember if we had to predrill holes are were able to use a special nail. If memory is correct they have a special nail for it.

Frank I don't think this product has been out there that long and some of the products that were out there in the 70's are not lasting here.

If appearance were a issue I would use the boards, if just sealing it, then I would use the metal if off the ground enough to prevent the bottom edge from rusting. kt

EW, sorry I misunderstood what you were saying. It has only be 26 or so years since I played in those terms daily. You probably were still on milk then. :)

As to the comments on the cost of the holding valves, do not doubt you. One reason I was surprised my little excavator has them but glad it does.

On the orginal question, there is a commerical JD dealership I pass by often. They leave excavator booms just off the ground and they will hold at least for a weekend. It is good visual as traffic passes. If they do that on the TLB I am not sure. It would not surpise me that they would know any specs on this question better if the specs were to hold between the two product lines.

It would seem for the outriggers to leak down in 20 to 30 minutes would be a pain on some jobs. kt

There is one area I think the chain can get you in trouble cause as they say been there...had cutter on the back of a tractor with 3 arm just unhooked to allow the same float. Did not realize in backing up to turn around the cutter was backing up a steep slope but sure did when the pto shaft had pushed together all it could an the cutter was still tilting. The stift 3rd arm probably would have helped prevent the damage. I have know of people using a short amount of chain there to allow float but not unlimited. For my cutters of two different brands they have used a hitch design to allow for controlled float. kt
