Being EW brought up resturants I also have a question on service. We are sort of noon "Regulars" at a local resturant. At noon they have a special, now my assumtion of a special is that it is hot and ready, you order it they put it on a plate I'll eat it and on I go with my day. It shouldn't take more than five/ten minutes from the time I sit down till the special is in front of me. The owner will only hire one waitress to serve the whole crowd at noon, (30-50), while she sits at a table drinking coffee chatting with the guests. I haven't yet, but I have saw several people just get up and leave after waiting 15-20 minutes without service. The owner is new and also a good friend of ours, so should I bring this up to her or just go somewhere else for lunch and let her figure it out on her own? By the way the food is good and plenty of it. Frank.

Being a business owner (several of them actually) I always prefer to get feed-back, good or bad, directly from my customers.

There is a sign in the reception area in one of the offices that says "If you like our work tell others, if not TELL US! Please?!".

Just because an owner doesn't know, or realize, what's going on, doesn't mean they don't want to learn and improve things.

Best of luck. ....

Diners/Restaurants are a marvelous thing. The parking lot at breakfast and noon tell the story.

When ownership of facility changes, its a transformation. A great place you can not find a place to park. Stop back a few weeks later parking lot half empty, new owner, quantity the same quality gone.

2 ladies buy little diner now you can not get in there. Yet no one waits for service and noone leaves.

SERVICE and QUALITY FOOD not quantity count when you sit down.

Want Quantity do buffets. ....

Frank, if the owner is a real friend, it may be hard but you ought to tell them. That will bet them lossing their money and then finding out you just hated to tell them. You will do it tackful, have no doubt.. If you want to put it in a postive ask them if you can share how they can increase the business...kt ....
