Have any of you had any experience with a tractor that started on gas and then switched to diesel or kersone to run on? A neighbor had an old Farmall (I think)that did. His sounded like a 2 cyl JD or close to that.

Some of you are too young to remember when soft drinks (Coke and Pepsi) were sold in glass bottles that required a deposit. The deposit had a way of getting those bottles out of the ditches and back to the bottler.
Some states have such a charge now.

Fully understand.

Insurance can vary a lot by each state (outside of the Fed laws and regulations). Look at your State Dept of Insurance for options for your wife. Also, if you or your wife has group coverage available, normally the person can be covered there period. There may be other options. Sometimes you must find some one who can think outside of the normal box.

SORRY. My misunderstanding and impression. Patience is good. Helps prevents all kinds of accidents.

As building someting with poured concrete, you may find old tractor weights for a very low price. That way you could adjust your needs if or as they changed.

I guess there is much more I have no idea about than I do know. You are saying a person can get into at least some chat rooms without anyway to truly know who they are? Dumb I guess on my part to be surprised at that. It is well know there are perverts that do just that with children.

I think this gets back to a saying I first heard with diamonds, if you don't know diamonds be sure you know the seller.

Either you can trust the seller or my opinion you should not trust the seller even with a Carfax or any other report.

Even with laws and contracts, no company is any better than their own morals.

This makes me wonder about a site for "Dealers I no longer deal with and why". To be fair there are buyers that are not honest either.

If you mean the hand latch type deal that at least Kubota has on mine it is fine for some jobs. Where I find it a problem is not what most CUT's are used for I admit.

I used mine with a sprayer and spreader in field. You need ground speed with both to be constant and yet when you reach the end of the field you must turn arond. Sort of hard to make that turn without reducing the ground speed which on my tractor disengages the lock and then you are back trying to match speed. Just don't work on mine.

Now cruise control like an auto would work fine. Just have never found that RESUME button. BUT, if there is a method here I don't know of it sure would be appreicated.

Hitting a single break to turn at field speed is not a good idea. But that will keep the solution mixxed.

Have never used a quick hitch. On smaller tractor hooking just is not a problem for me(on level ground I can roll it by hand easy enough). On my larger tractor some of it's equipment width varies so a fix width quick hitch would not work. I also uses some equipment that needs the third arm to move that the 3 point quick hitches would not allow.

However, we just install the quick hitch ends on my brothers 70 to 80 HP Massey. To me they are the best option. They pin and bolt onto the end of your lift arm but do not affect the ability to adjust your arm spacing or alignment as each lift are is still fully free of the other. The only adjustment we could see that had to be made was to screw out the third are a little more and it does move the weight back about three inches so front end will be lighter with a very heavy cutter that tractor is used with (also reason for the quick hitch).

Ones like we used are sold by Northern Tool. They are sold others places also. But Northern's web site is easy to use.

To both of you thanks.

I have learned another reason the Lord had me born here, I probably would not do well at all handling the snow. Already knew the cold was not my thing. I was made to sweat, not shiver.

I appreciate what you and others are posting at TP much better on problems with driveway stones and such with your help.

As to bugs, I was given one of the personal bug repellants that uses a scent card and butane to heat it. It worked well to lay beside my tractor seat the couple of times I used it. Of course a strong breeze would be problem.

As to marketing being stronger than the truth is not only in computers.

It began in DC. Or at least it was/is being fine tuned there. If limited to there we would be okay, now it is everwhere it seems. If you are fortunate enough to have lived when you could trust someone's word you may realize what has been lost.

The thought of the blade hitting those innocent little loveable creatures just seems heartless. No doubt there will be hornet huggers out in your yard next summer. If I were you I would let them hug all of them. (does make you wonder where all the hornet huggers are)

With the vac, do you suggest bagless or the bag type? Just find it confussing listening to those vac infomercials. I gather the hand held model is not the one you suggest.

After you vacuumed them, when you turned off the vac, did they not fly back out? It would seem they could with my shop vac. It sure is open to. But it is also make to blow. What a dumb idea too. You suck dust in the hose and then use that hose to blow to clean something?
