i own 20 acre in vermont. i want to purchase a l3240 hst kabota to do the work i need done. such as plow snow move some dirt and pull a few trees and small stumps out. iv'e been looking at a grapple to do some of the work. is this tracter big enough for this thanks

I'm looking at a JD 2305 or a mahindra 2015. Both look like nice machines, both same price, but the Deere specs a Limited cat 1 3-point. What does this mean? Limited how? The Mahindra says cat 1 3-point.

Just bought a used Kubota Bx23 - don't have the manual.<br>
I need to find out how much tranny fluid it needs and where to fill it in. - How do I check tranny and hydraulic fluid - and IF / WHERE do I drain the hydraulics?<br>
I'll be more than happy over any info I could get about the 500 hr service for my new "farm implement"<br>

Help - I searched the discussions for pricing info and found one post indicating used B7800 pricing with belly mower starting at $16k then another post indicating new B7800 with FEL at $13K. I'm looking at a used B7800 with FEL, front wheel assist, hydro with 150hrs - dealer wants $12,995 for it. Is this reasonable? My locatin is SW Iowa if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Go for the HP. I used a3320 with a cx300 and a woods rotary cutter(60") for about 3-4 hrs before returning it due to a previously discussed problem with the dealer. I have about 16 acres,mostly fields.The tractor was a replacement for my 1984 950. I noticed a big difference in all around performance. I was not happy with the woods cutter since I had a jd cutter for 23 years with no problems other than replacing the seal more often as the cutter aged. I ended up at another dealer and bought a 3520,hydro,cx300, and a mx-5 cutter. I am very happy with this package and notice the difference in hp and the cutter.
I noticed on this site someone mentioned going to the JD website, checking out the list price of tractor and attachments, then deduct 15-16% off list. After shopping around this seems to be a accurate method of what a fair price should be. Good luck. Go with the higher HP.

3 1/2 hrs. on the tractor. My feeling is that the tractor should have been considered a left over and further discounted. When I called the JD main number for the serial number lookup, they called the tractor an 05. I think to call something new that was made 18 -19 months ago is a stretch. Thanks for the reply.

I turn the key and nothing happens, but I can jump start it when I go across the starter lugs.

Found the problem, but unfortunately I could not find all the steel balls it takes six and I only replaced 4 of them and when I stress the front end in 4wd the shaft slips, jerking motion. I looked in my part list and there is no part number for that steel ball, it only says (Steel ball 8) does any one have a part number and how I can get my hands on them?

try talking to youre dealer service department. there is a kit to change those poor hoses to the style that have fittings on the ends

the problem is usually a low voltage problem at the start wire. we at the dealership are using a relay and use voltage from the starter to excite it by a extra relay and this solves it.

i'm considering buying a b8200-dt for general landscaping, it has only 19 hp, do you consider this strong enough for grading and moving dirt, it is 4wd w/ a loader---any advice is appreciated

Well, since the hoe is old and has unknown fluids, water, or other uncompatable stuff in it, I didn't want to risk messing up my new tractor. I suppose if I could flush out everything on the hoe 1st, install a filter, that would be a possibility. The tractor dealer said that I could overheat the tractor fluid with extensive hoe use. I don't buy that since the b7800 is rated 6+ for gpm. I have been told there is a kit you can put on the rear of the B7800 to hook up to the hydraulics. I have read that you would get better performance from the hoe on a pto pump too, unsure if that is true.

The guy said that setup would give me 30 lbs./Sq. Ft. snow load. I love the room it gives. You could put up 10 ft. walls and have a 12 ft, door if I see this thing right! The post and truss work are 6X6's and the purlins/girts would be the 2x6's. Like I said, the price would be real close, as I had scissor trusses priced out at $76/each and I need 21 of them. I appreciate the input guys!
