With luck like that I would not got to Vegas this year.

I have seen new pumps fail also but it's rare. I'd whine at dealer. I'd also be concerned about the quality of anti-freeze or the water you use to mix.

You are loosing waterpump seals. That is unusual given the hours.

EASY ART! Good mechanics hard to replace. But it is funny how you eliminate 2-3 bad apples the rest of the tree perks up. Worked the same where ever I've been, eliminate dead weight, the rest happier freeloaders gone. <br>

Good to hear you doing well. It is a great feeling to be able to start using injured parts.

I'm only suppose to have 50% weight on leg but have been pushing that. Usually end back up on crutches with all weight off for a couple of days.

Unhook loader bucket and hook mower up. Used leg pretty hard a few places this am. Mow for 4 hours so in chair with leg up this afternoon.

Diners/Restaurants are a marvelous thing. The parking lot at breakfast and noon tell the story.

When ownership of facility changes, its a transformation. A great place you can not find a place to park. Stop back a few weeks later parking lot half empty, new owner, quantity the same quality gone.

2 ladies buy little diner now you can not get in there. Yet no one waits for service and noone leaves.

SERVICE and QUALITY FOOD not quantity count when you sit down.

When you unhook your loader you use hydraulics to lift the loader frame off the tractor. If you do this when the oil is cool in the am and go back in the afternoon when the sun has been on the hyd lines sometimes there is pressure.

I've had mine off for weeks at a time and no problem. Yet I've taken it off to service tractor and hour later could not rehook the boom hose.

The only common problem I've figured out is the sun hitting the loader.

It depends on the terain you operate on. We have a VSI system on a Cat 246. Weoperate on HARD gravel and there is lots of vibration and we have a lot of problems with idlers. They tension with turn buckles and the system bolts right to the hubs.

They are awesome in snow and on soft ground. Operators used to 180 dregree turns with tires are hard on the track system. We have had to replace hubs and track wheels 3 times wheter its the 180 turns or the hard ground. Lug nuts loosen waller holes and break studs. Hard to check with 3-4 guys in and out of it daily.

Don Art I wanted to go. But still on crutches it real PITA to get around. Lot of neighbors went up. I wanted to track down a 3ph skidder with show special price.

Leg doing real well expect to be off crutches in another 2-3 weeks. XRAYs look good.

I not try to complicate this. The valve body consists of 8 (if I remember Correctly) valve bodies. They are simple open close valves there are no fancy pressure check valves etc. If boom in air and hose rupture it is coming down, if boom in air and you loosen fitting it coming down. The dipper and boom have a relief valve on the rod extend side of valve to prevent a hard stop rod bottom out in cylinder. If one of these reliefs sticks you will bend a rod. Ask me how I know.

I have had the entire valve body out and restacked valves to operate like excavator controls.

The System is a very basic hyd system easy to rebuild easy to trouble shoot.

The sag is from oil moving back past the seals in the valve body. Depending on the tolerances in the valves some might be tighter than others. I doubt very much it is oil moving past seals in cylinders but it could be. However you would notice a drop in breakout with out laboring the tractor pump.

JD does have a spec on drop. The exact quote is in the archives somewhere. The search system here is a PITA. I do not remember the exact numbers but was surprised at what JD considered within tolerance.

Yes I agree the sag and the settling in 15 minutes or so is a irritation. I have no problem with it. Yes I operate BIG CATS and OTHERS. But for my use at home my little BH beats the snot out of a shovel and wheelbarrow. New o ring and seal kits are available.

I use the lite oil. Probably should use heavy.

Usually on the left side by bell housing is a serial no tag. Some models may have it in different location. Old 30, 40, 50s are typically there.

Art may know location better then I. Then there are several farmall sites that list serial numbers sequence.

Check pto lever check connections under tractor check neutral switch usually wiggle shift lever if std if hydro check foot pedals. You might try checking fuses and unplug and replug all relay fuses.

I'll shoot from the hip on this: first I would look at and clean electrical connections to fan and radio. Next I look at the brushes on the fan armature. They do have filters you can install in antenna and power feeds. Filters would not be my first choice.

I also grease mower spindles, wheels and pivot every time when finished mowing. I do grease PTO universals begining, middle and end of season.

Most of my shields are removed to make cleaning each time easier.

Do Have to admit greasing has slipped a little with leg. Hard to grease when using crutches. Watching wife and tring to explain is real hard. I grease every other mowing at moment.

Take it to a hydraulic shop. Rod bent or scored. If not wrong type seal, seal damaged during install. Hyd shop will know. If cylinder bad that can match it to new with black paint for half.

It could just be stuck maybe lifted all the way to top and a linkage has bound it up. Put some external pressure on it watch linkages rap linkages with hammer.

Even the best cleaning (unless you have a old sand blaster pot) will leave a film that will short to ground.

Use a ohm meter and check for ground short. Typically much simpler to start with a new plug.

Take a look at old sickle bar mowers that are belt driven. They work at any angle. Cheap at auctions. Low maintenance. Some are trailer, some 3ph (more expensive, or something tractor specific and convert to 3ph.
