I wouldn't worry too much about it, just tell a buyer how it is. I'd rather have a deep basement with a sump than a head bumper basment with no sump.
Both of our homes have deep basements with no sump, but both homes are on soil types with a lower water table, and very adequarte floor drains so no problems here.
I wouldn't swear to this but I think county code now requires a sump hole in the floor, but a pump is up to the owner, I think.
A cousin of mine used to own a home with I'm guessing a 300 gallon sewage sump below the basement floor with an automatic sump pump to pump all their sewage, basement drainage, laundry wateer, any water they used all to a city sewer line that was a few feet above their basement floor. Now that would have driven me away as a buyer, but he did sell it to someone.

I've had a 4310 since about 1999 or 2000, with 800 some hours, The only difference with mine is the transmission, I have a 12/12 power reverser. It might konk out tomorrow but so far the electronics haven't given me any problems. I also had a 4410 while we did some landscaping for hire. It also was a 12/12 power reverser. It's been a while since we sold the 4410 but I can't recall any electronic problems.<br>
The 10 series does have some electric connectors under the tractor that a stick or something can catch and partially disconnect while bush hogging that bring you to a dead halt.<br>

Dennis,first off I don't know a trout from a catfish, well I really do, but I'm just not very well versed in fishing. When the granddkids were younger they liked to visit a fish hatchery in north east Iowa. They have peanut machines like at the old gas stations that you could put quarters in and get a handfull of fish food. The water would just boil with little fish when they tossed the food in.
On one occasion when we were there they were loading the fish transport trucks with bigger trout to be taken to the trout streams mostly locally. Anyhow I noticed quite a few cars and pickups that followed the trucks as they left the hatchery, so I ask one of the workers what that was about. He said those folks stop by often to check on when the fish will be taken out to streams then follow the fish trucks to the streams and line the banks fishing below where the fish are dumped.
That didn't seem fair to the fish to me, but the worker said that's why they haul them out is for someone to catch.

I don't know much about Massey tractors, but what ever you buy make sure it has a front wheel assist.
Having the front wheels powered makes using a loader so much easier.

OK, now I understand much better after seeing the parts blowup picture.
Yes, oure front axles are basicly identical if not identical.
I never had a leak where you do, mine leaked around the seal # 21 on the main hub shaft # 22.
I've never had the vertical shaft with the small bevel gears out, just the outer half of the casting with the ring of small capscrews around the outside holding the bigger bevel gear that is on the hub shaft.

How many miles is it from your point of purchase to your home?
How fast will the TLB go in road gear?
With decent weather and good warning lights why not just drive it home.
A friend of mine's father once drove a Farmall "H" from central Nebraska to North East Iowa,it took him two days. Another local fellow used to drive a John Deere 4430 tractor with a stacker to and from a farm he has in north central Missouri from Northeast Iowa twice per summer. If he left here at daylight he would be to the Missouri farm before dark.

I really have no idea how much a rounded up load of rocks would weigh, but my guess wold be in the 800 - 1,000 lb. range The six wheeler hanled the load ok being 90% of the load in the box was directly above the four rear tires.

At about this same time I had a four wheel Gator and a twelve row corn planter. I would park the Gator in the field where I was planting. When I neded more seed I would drive the Gator back to the farm yard and load twelve bags of seed then head back to the field to refill the planter. At that time most seed bags weighed from 45 - 50 lbs. plus probably 50 lbs. of tools, etc. so maybe 600 lbs. of load, plus me on a four wheeler. That was a big enough load so the extra two wheels on the six wheeler are a definite plus for heavy hauling.

I didn't know about the stall guard feature, my compacts have all been gear drive. They either spin the tires or kill the engine if you don't hit the clutch first.

You use a couple definitions of an all purpose plow.

1 A field cultivator is what we call a secondary tillage machine with lighter shanks than a chisel plow used to prepare the soil just ahead of a planter or drill.

2 The chisel plow we use as a primary tillage machine after corn or soybean harvest. Not much soybean stubble gets chisel plowed anymore because too much crop rersidue is covered leaving the soil open to severe erosion.

I "Think" studded tires have been outlawed in Iowa, somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
You could always tell a car with studs going past on bare pavement by the distinctive "Sing" the studs made, I haven't heard that sound in years.

I was going to repalce the all season Firestones on the Trailblazr before winter, but they seem to be doing fine yet, so might as well get a few more miles out of them, they are at 53K now. I'm not a rompin stompin Firestone person, I'm open to any brand that will do better, but they have given me the most miles on an SUV of any brand I've ever had.

I did have to repalce a front wheel bearing a few days ago, but that's the first repair other than a battery in 93K

I don't have a limited lift hitch, so no real life experience but.
If your rockshaft has enough power to still lift the stump grinder you could gain some lift heitht by adding a few inches to the length of the draft arms and the top link.
That would mean a longer PTO shaft also.

One of our sons who works for a major oli company said their sales of the new "Safe" antifreeze that was all the talk several years ago have droped to nearly nothing. Even tho the new fresh from the jug product was a safe fluid it became contaminated with all sorts of toxic things after it was in an engine for a length of time.
It just cost more but really didn't solve the problem.

As an addicted Farmall restorer I can gurantee it wiii get expensive.
A lot depends on how far you want to go with the old four wheeller.

I still have a couple of five thousand dollar "H" Farmalls. They started out as 500 dollar "H's" but after total restoration, new tires, Paint, on and on they suddenly became five thousand dollar "H's", and this was before tires became really expensive.
At one time I had a dozen or more in all stages of restoration from total junk heaps on up to total restoration. I sold the rest of the "Herd" on our farm auction in 07 along with a couple hayracks of parts. They aren't for sale, "yet", The one I'd like to keep in the family, It was my Dad's H.
I guess I almost forgot the "Cub", ot is complete head to toe inside, but needs tires and paint yet, It just never ends once you are addicted.

So anyway I guess what I'm saying is I've never got into anything as big as your 4366 to restore, but like my "H"'s it would be easy to have three times what it's worth tied up before you are done. I think you mentioned the tires are good, eight new ones would eat up the biggest share of the 10K you are talking about spending.

The first compact tractor I ever sat on was a Ford/NH. We used to drive past a ford/NH dealership quite often that had a nice display of their compacts out front that caught my eye. About that same time Deere came out with their 4000 series, I ended up buying a Deere 4300 W/430 loader. I later traded the 4300 for a 4310 and another 430 loader. a few minor problems, mostly cosmetic, like little plastic hood latch do-dads that break now and then, but nothing to the tune of a frame break, sure glad I chose the green one.

I forgot about the landscape rake, it is handy for more things than I'd ever dreamed. It does a great job of leveling crushed rock, pushing snow back, and even raking up things like it was meant to do.
I had a regular three point blade for a while but sold it, it just wasn't heavy enough to do much unless the soil, gravel, or whatever was already loosened up by another means.
The box blade was a surprise to me, I had never used one before. With the scarifiers down it will rip loose and move a lot of soil in a little while.
Another thing I forgot is the #48 backhoe attachment. Not a monster machine to bury a giant boulder, but real handy to fix field tile, jerk out medium size rocks and stumps. Like they say I can do just about as much as the regular tractor hoes, but just give me lots more time.
I think the newer models mount even easier and quicker but the 48 isn't too bad about fifteen minutes either way on or off.
I guess I will have to say that whether you call it work or play the compact tractors are a great machine. I see lots of them go past on landscaper trailers, pole building crews, etc.

This was too long ago to remember any exact details but an IH dealership somewhere was offering a pretty deep discount on the first 361 engine overhaul from actual wear not neglect. As I remember the hours were in the low 20K's. They were a great engine.

Guys;

So far it looks like I have about the shortest drive to clear, but it slopes pretty steep in the wrong direection. It slopes to the north east so the winter sun dosen't do near the good as if it sloped to the south. I did somewhat think about that when we built the house, but the house just fit and looked better the way it ended up being built.

OK, Now the next question, what do you guys have for a surface on your drives? There have been a couple blacktop guys stop by wanting to blacktop ours but I declined. My thinking was that I can 99% of the time use the scarifiers turned backward in the box blade to get a bit of loose gravel to come to the surface when ice is the villan for the tires to grab hold of.

Vibration can also be a factgor with steel lines.
Is there perhaps a clamp or fastrener that isn't supporting the line properly?
I has somewhat the same issue with a steel line on a combine which was a real bear to get it out and back in. After a couple of those episodess we used a common hydraulic hose and our problem went away.
At just the right engine speed something was causing the line to vibrate, but only at that speed, above or below that engine RPM it didn't vibrate. When it did vibrate you could hardly see the line it vibrated so hard.
I;m not certian that this is your problem, but just throwing it out as a possibility.

I only went ice fishing once. By the time I got a hole chopped in the ice big enough to get the boat in I was all out of the mood!!!!

I really did only ever go ice fishing once probably fourty years ago with my Father in law. I sat on a five gallon bucket all afternoon till I nearly froze to death and caught nothing. Meanwhile the FIL come carrying a bucket full of crappies asking if I was ready to quit, I never went ice fishing again, I do my ice fishing at the fiah market.
