I have heard that a cheaper alternative to Berryman is Pine Sole 50 percent with water is a good carb soak. But Pine Sole says not to use on Aluminum, so you takes your chances to save some coin.

On my tractor I only heat the glow plugs for a count from 1001 to 1008, 8 seconds. 30 seconds is really long. Maybe shoot some WD40 into the intake with a helper.

Sounds like you have numerous and unrelated issues with the hydrualics.

Asking because it sounds like you have might have gunk or sediment in the fuel tank, so that as the rate of flow goes up with higher RPM demands the clogging increases as the fuel draw causes gunk to block fuel from leaving tank.<br>

So would you say the leg room is tighter than on the Kubota's? I am also interested in a mid mower deck and like the ride over to attach, and wondering how simple it really is to drop the deck and do other work.<br>

It looks like Deere has tried to refine this 1 2 3 series rigs, and gives Kubota a serious competitor.

On the gator, the good news is if the rings are worn it is already on the the ground :-)

Good luck with your evaluation of the gator you have. I have only done compression tests when I have had mechanical problems with an engine and my compression testing tool was an inexpensive hand held and needed multiple runs to get an average reading.

What model and year Kubota would help if a dealer responds. Have you looked at all the linkage and sensors?

Every year I think about making the lawn look better by using a crabgrass preventative fertilizer, and other subsequent weed killers and pesticides.<br>

Then I think about me inhaling the dust during application. The corrosive nature of the stuff when I pull the spreader with my tractor. And then I think about my young dog who would have to be walking around in the stuff to some extent!<br>
<br>
Am I over thinking the perils of these chemicals? Are there more enviro friendly solutions other than abstinence?<br>

I remember many years ago talking to a Kubota salesmen about my tractor needs. Oh yeah he said you can buy the front end loader and set it just above your drive couple inches, and use the rear grader blade to scrape it to the bottom.<br>

He must have moved into the area from Atlanta or had a month end promotion on loaders!<br>
<br>
I got the loader and the back blade, and that is the most hopeless set up for snow removal that you could imagine if you a long drive. If you live on a small lot with a hundred or so feet of driveway, stay with the loader back blade combo, you need the handicap of this set up so that you can have fun playing with he loader, in this case the blower or snow blade gets you done too fast, and what is the fun in that :-) The loader is for sure not the way to go where you live or for a long drive on a couple of acres.<br>

The best IMHO if you don't have too much crap on the unpaved drive is a snowblower either front or rear. I like front for my long drive...<br>
<br>
If you do not want to spring for the blower, then go with a front mount snow blade.<br>
<br>
The snowblower is the best and needs very little traction 1000% better than what you are doing, Front Snow Blade 100% better than loader.<br>
<br>
If you still are not convinced, putting at least 250 pounds (about what a grader blade weighs) or more on the 3PH will make an improvement but still be miserable...

I do not for sure but I think the 5MPH bumper rule has expired for some time now. I think the basis is probably that it is better for cars to disintegrate nicely and absorb rather withstand the force of impact.

I think some manufacturers have taken the impact absorption design to such an extreme that their cars would incur thousands of dollars of damage from just a 1 MPH touch.
