New to this board and looking for help. I just bought a YM 3110 with power steering. The steering works great but the lift is very slow. With an implement attached if the rpm's drop below 1500 the weight of the implement pulls the lift down. The fluid is new and clean. Any ideas or is this typical of yanmar operations?

Do you mean the problem occurs only when steering and loader lift operations occur simultaneously? Or is the loader always weak? ....

It doesn't sound normal. I'd guess it leaks down pretty fast when the tractor is off as well. If that's the case you might turn the flow control valve off and see if that stops the leak-down. On a position control 3ph that would sound like a bad poppet valve or adjustment problem. ....

I would check to see that the valve below the seat in the front is fully open. It is the one with a round knob and is between your feet. It controls the amount of flow to the lift. Just a thought. If it is set too far to the close side it will cause the exhaust to become wet on the top of the muffler. I have the same tractor. ....

Sounds to me like a leaking lift cylinder or could be bad control or relief valve. ....

Hello,
Saw your post about the loader problem. May purchase a YM3110 soon. How do you like yours. Where did you get it and how much was it. Was it a newly re-built grey market tractor.
Tell me everything you can about this kind of machine.
Thanks, George ....

Great machine. I fixed the lift cylinder and the tractor hasn't given me a problem since. It was purchased in South Mississippi. I paid $3500.00 for it with a new box blade. It was not rebuilt. The tractor had 1800 hrs. on it, but it had been freshly painted and had four brand new tires. It had been fully serviced with new filters and fuilds. I would buy it again in a heart beat. ....
