Well, I had to have it. The "Bad River" hat, that is. I mean who ever heard of a bad river? It's like saying "Bad Morning" or "Bad Afternoon". Rivers are usually good so this is definitely an eye catcher. Problem was that the wife didn't want me spending money on it. So I bought my daughter a cranberry colored JD Hat, and had her buy me the "Bad River" hat and reimbursed her. Every self respecting person should have a Bad River hat.

Well I come from a family with small skulls - guess that means we have smaller brains. But the hat has a long adjustable strap that could fit my wife's German skull. (I just made her put it on!) So I imagine it could fit a size 8. :) ....

The "Bad River" runs through a portion of mid-Michigan by St. Charles. An Indian chief called it that, after his daughter drowned in it many many moons ago.

In recent American pop culture, "Bad" means "good".

Anyway, you pick anything that comes to mind after you've been trying to come up with a company name, trying to register a trademark and go through about a dozen name searchs for trademarks at about $800.00 per search until you find one that hasn't been taken.

Enjoy the hat! ....

Yooper, thanks for the update on where the name comes from. I think "Bad River" is a great name from a marketing perspective, very catchy! Plus there is a touching story that goes along with it. I will wear the hat with pride. :) ....
