I am currently a kubota owner...and a happy one.
I am considering moving up in size to say a L3130 or L3430 but am also wondering why not consider a JD? What do you recommend as a similar tractor to these two kubota's and why?

Tim, I dont think I could reccomend any "over" them as theyare both great machines. Its really more a matter of whats best for you, whats comfortable for you and the dealers in your area. Dave ....

Based on engine horsepower, the Kubota 3130 is equivalent to the JD 4310 and the Kubota 3430 is equivalent to the JD 4410. They're all great machines.
Which one you choose probably should have more to do with price, dealer support, and how the machine fits you than which is "best".
I chose the JD 4310 over the Kubota 3430 mostly because I liked the ergonomics a little better and the Kubota dealer in my area is pretty poor. Other folks like the Kubota ergonomics just fine. If our local Kubota dealer was any good it would have been a much tougher decision for me to make.

Tim, to me I say all tractors are good. Just some are better than others. Spend a little time looking at some of the ownership discussions here and I think you might find out a lot on the ownership and what to expect. What size Kubota do you have now? ....
