We have discussed purchasing and 1970ish Ford 3000 with a Ford front end loader and about 3300 hours for $5000 or $4000 with a trade of our 1939 Farmall C. The C needs a great deal of work, but does run. The Ford is gas and is in fair condition. Does not smoke and starts easily when stone cold. Is this a fair deal?

The Ford is work about 4K-5K with out the loader. Depending on the age of the loader and amout of loading done it could be a negative as pins and cylinders can quickly come to nearly the new cost.
The C is work about 1K matter what the shape. I have no idea where you get the year from as the C was made from 48-51. I assumed it was a 49? ....
