Hi,

I ordered a 4115 from my dealer, but now am having 2nd thoughts especially after comparing the 4115 side-by-side with the 4210. Both tractors will do the same work for me, and each has advantages and disadvantages over the other. Where the 4210 is stronger for certain kinds of work, the 4115 is more maneuverable. I have 5 acres, 2 of which is lawn. I have a 1000'gravel driveway that can only be snowblown, yard work that includes moving sand, gravel, and loam. I won't ever need a backhoe. Neither tractor is to be used for lawn cutting. The price difference between the base tractors is close, the only real price difference is in the cost of the implements...a loader, snowblower, and front blade. The dealer may have the 4115 already for me to pickup and setup with a soft cab. If I tell him I want the 4210, he may just not want to deal with me at all. Any opinions?

I would doubt that you have much negotiating room especially if you signed a contract. The 4115 from my understanding is not the most popular model as it is more expensive than the 4110 yet only a few $ cheaper than the 4210. I like the statistics of the 4115 for my own reasons and I am sure you will be happy with either one. its a real hair splitter between the two. ....

I think the 4115 may prove to be more trouble free and reliable. ....

2flints. I agree with Mark. Second guessing your self is no fun. The 4115 was nearly the machine I ordered and after re-reading your post seems like the much better choice for you. You can one step up your self higher and higher. By the time I came back to earth I was test driveing a 4610. A great tractor but It wasn't going to be any fun to tow ! Kick back and enjoy the new tractor. Let us know how you like it once it arrives ! ....

I run a John Deere Delaership in the UK, we have found the 4115 an excellent tractor. The 4210 is no-longer offered in the UK due to low sales. This is largely as the performance is adversely effected as the power to weight is lower than the 4115. I would strongly suggest you proceed with the 4115, I am sure you will be very happy!!! ....

I'm not familiar with the 4115 but I did buy and took delivery last Thursday on a 4210 with loader and scraper. It's really a powerfull 28 HP tractor. I'm thinking of getting a backhoe for it to dig around my 5 acres...pond? Holes for pole barn? Footing for retaining wall? Pit to BBQ kalua pig? Endless list. ....
