Art,
You seem to be a wealth of knowledge ref to CUT's. I like Kubota, but must admit that the Kioti's look interesting. My local Kubota manager rep, tells me that the Kioti's are utilizing a transmission that Kubota used 20 years ago, and indicated that elements of the Kioti gear reduction box are made of aluminum. Have you any knowledge of this ?

AHHH those Kubota dealers they are specail aren't they!!
Kubota's are a very nice machine and they do have some very good dealers, I won't argue that. I just wish dealers in general (regardless of brand) would point out the good points on there own machines. The dealers around here are so intent on badmouthing the other guy that they miss selling their own equipment. The local kubota dealer knew EVERYTHING about KIOTI's but didn't know answers to the simplest questions about his own tractor. From the, can't get parts thing to the they're just recycled kubota's.
It seems to be an epidemic.
I think they're gettin' nervous!! ....

Just take a magnet to the Kioti dealer and see where it sticks.
I did that to my 4100 the other day and it doesn't stick to much in the way of drive train components other than the engine. Deere owners take note.
Given the fact that a Kioti 1914 is the same overall size as a 4100 and it weighs 500 lbs more, it is kind of hard to imagine there is much on the Kioti that isn't made of iron and steel. ....

The Kioti folks tell me it is all iron and steel. In being honest, they indicated the CK20 is not in the showroom yet, so he couldn t speak toward it, but can t imagine why they would employ aluminum at this stage in the game. The CK20 will employ FEL, HOE, and 60" MMM with quick attach, but does not have "no tools" design. Base price w/o FEL, HOE etc is $12,700. Looks pretty interesting. Thanks for your suggestion Mark. ....

I've been told that they are old designs of the Kubota. I have no positive proof that they are but they do look a lot a like underneath. I don't have any dealers around me to check on to see what they are. ....

besides both being orange, these 2 companies tractors are very different from each other.I would be wary of buying from a dealer who tries to sell buy putting down another companies tractor. As Art said he should be selling his brand of tractors on their own merit. KIOTI'S are very heavy tractors for their size, this can be either good or bad depending on terrain and how you plan on using your tractor. ....
