I am interested in finding out how people like their Eicher tractors. I am a rep for the company in the United States and would like some honest replies. I know that I have used them extensively and the green, orange, and blues along side of them in real world situations and found the ability and durability of the Eichers superior. I have been in the business for years and yet to find an equal. Feel free to post or e-mail directly

Kevanos,

They were at the national farm machinery show (for the past two years). They were next to Kawasaki and just downthe aisle from Mahindra in the WEST Wing. You must have skipped that one. They have also made it to the larger and more internationally prominent Sunbelt Expo in Moultrie GA for the past 2 years located next to New Holland. I should know. My feet are still sore from Louisville. ....

Hey Mark,

How close are the new Eicher tractors to the engineering of the original Eicher that they spun off from?

Does Eicher plan on developing their own tractors over 50 pto hp or keep on licensing models like they have with the Valmet 365? ....

Hmmm... I can't believe I missed them! I looked at the Mahindras, but it was toward the end of our day. It may have been on an aisle that we glanced down, and not seeing anything stick out, skipped. ....

The 6100 is closer to the current 600 and 700 US models than the older styles. The drive train is essentially the same. They have slight sheet metal differences. Eicher has potential to adapt the 6100 further. They feel that this is a good tractor that will continue to offer up to date technology. Their entire Bhopal plant is tied up with its production. Changes have been made in appearance and will be adapted to fit into the Eicher look. The pending 7100 will retain the Valtra look. A brief test run with a hybrid of Eicher and Valtra technology tractor was produced. It was a decent stab at merging of technology but needed turbo. ....

So then will the bigger one be a Valmet 465 clone or a Valtra M700 one? ....
