No luck so far finding any parts. Will make some calls tomorrow, hopefully I did not make a big mistake. If I did it will be my last Kubota purchase new or used.

What parts are you looking for? I don't see that you ever mentioned what you needed! There's lots of parts that cross-reference to parts commonly available in North America.
If you Google "Kubota L240 manual" you will likely find several people selling them.
I'm not sure why you'd never buy another one? Doesn't seem logical to blame the manufacturer for an issue they never sold over here.

Some parts for grey market tractors are interchangeable to those tractors sold in the US. Not knowing what you are looking for makes it harder to find the right match. It is a problem no doubt as we have been in several attempts that took a bit to find the right match.
There are some places that do know more about them then authorized US Kubota dealers as we are not schooled in them or do we have parts in our computer.
The main reason Kubota does not work with those here is they are not approved for us here, we are kind of special people that need a lot of safety items so we don't hurt ourselves according to our government! lol ....

I am looking for possible generator as well as parts and operators manuels. I would like to find out if its possible to convert the charging system to a regular alternator set up like a gm one wire alternator. ....

You could, anything is possible! I know that your tractor is reaching the end of the value train but I really hate to see things butchered or changed if I have to take it in trade.
With that in mind, you might not find the room under the hood for the GM to fit and of coarse to cut a hole in the hood doesn't look to good.
The Kubota products are built to a very high standard from the factory and the life of the products is beyond many other manufacturers so depending on how long you plan to keep it the originals are good! ....

I will see about a rebuild then on the alternator. Not to great at customizing brackets. Lol. I there is a local electrical rebuilding shop. I'll check on the price ce. ....

You are not the first! If it makes you feel better you won't be the last! There were thousands of those brought in to the country and some still sneaking in probably. for a seventies vintage tractor the brand sure did set the major lines in this country straight as they used to tell us they will not be here long. Much like the auto industry they have taught us about quality control, virtually set records for longevity and overall performance. You do have a good tractor. Gary Sneath in Poland would be a good one for you to check with on rebuilding or repairing. ....

This'd Kubota tractor is still a mystery. I found a second data plate on the tractor. Its on the left side just ahead of the clutch pedal.plus the oil filter does not match the number is 7000032431 its a Kubota from lter ....
