I opted to go with a separate log splitter.

The hydraulic system on your B7610 should use Kubota Super UDT to stay healthy and trouble free, and that stuff is very pricey.

A good log splitter needs a very large hydraulic fluid capacity to stay cool so the pumps don't fail. And you are supposed to change the fluid in the splitter much more often than your tractor.

I figured the money I would save by not having another engine could disappear quickly under high use.

One of our members,DRankin, has had the 3 point splitter on a Deere for several years and he might be able to give us some insight on how he is doing with it.
