I currently have a MF 135 gas model. Would like to move up to a new Kubota with FEL.Here is my question. The new tractor needs to be in the 48-60 HP. range more or less. There are so many letters and numbers to choose from I am getting confused about the features . This tractor would be used for moving snow and square baling hay, pulling firewood logs, feeding 4x4 round bales to a half dozen beef cattle ,etc. I prefer the gear drive with reverser and no cab. Which is the best for the money?

Have not seen these in person but have a M6800 that is about 13 years old. Looking at the specs on these two tractors see to me several maybe called small differences but have you taken the specs and info on both tractors and compared that line by line? Some of the differences may be of no benefit to you while others might be. The difference in front wheel size might be worth it based upon the amount of FEL use you will have. ....

the Mx version uses a lighter chassis than the M5640 does, so there is more then a couple of horsepower here for a difference.
The stronger chassis would improve longevity but depending on how many acres and the amount of acreage you are going to work you still might be able to work with the MX.
Many say you can never buy to big although it is possible. ....
