Well last May 5, 2008 and about 40 hours on machine the left front axle leaked oil all over the garage floor. Dealer picked it up and it was under warranty....parts and labor and pickup was 340.00 with parts 44 bux 85 bux pickup del labor 220 or so...well guess i put another 30 hrs on the machine and the same thing happened last sunday May 10. 2009 it leaked oil all over the floor again from the same axel. Now the wife says no more 20k machines again. I have had better luck with cars/trucks than tractors mowers. My warrantee is up 9/26/2009 couple months left. Is this normal or could it be mis-aligned inside the axle? the only parts they put in was 2 seals and 2 sleeves? I love the machine but u get that buyers remorse feeling, and hate the neighbors seeing your dealer picking the machine up again.

I had worse luck with my Ford Ranger, but that doesn't make either of us feel very good. Make the dealer get to the bottom of the problem and give you a 12 month warranty on the repair - they should do that as a matter of course. Maybe the axle is bent a bit and wobbles, or the bearing is bad, causing the seals to die an early death. They need to diagnose and not just swap parts. ....
