I am looking to add a 3rd hydraulic control on my 2006 MX5000. I talked to a dealer that just started selling Kubota's and got a price of $1700+ installed. $1460 was for the "special" valve that this tractor takes and the rest oil and labor. Is this the best I can hope for if I have someone install this?

I'm not sure how fancy a valve setup (factory look, etc.) you're aiming for, nor really familiar with that model.
I do know that we routinely add 3rd and 4th valves to our L series units all the time, both 4-way joystick style and conventional 2 way units. Generally the cost is about $250 for a single 2-way, and about $450 for a 4-way, installed.
Hope it helps some.
Best of luck. ....

Pitt_md,
I recently priced out a rear remote hyd. outlet for my Kubota. Even if I purchase all of the parts directly from Kubota (The highest priced source), it still came out to only $790.00.
I didn't price out any installation costs, as this is something I would do myself. However, I would guess that labor would be somewhere around three hours. Total cost, including labor, should be under $1100.00
I'd look for another dealer. Any dealer could do this job for you. It's not a difficult operation.

The dealer said it was more expensive because my tractor had a "nonstackable monoblock" valve. Ever heard of this? ....

Problem solved. I was talking to another dealer and it appears that I implied that i already had two remotes and needed one more. I just have the joystick currently and wanted to add another remote to operate a grapple. $743 + labor. Thats more along the lines i was thinking.
Thanks for everyones input! ....
