has anyone ever tried to install a 2" wheel spacer on the rear wheels of a BX? My Dad has a BX and works primarily on the hills around his house in ME. He would like to push the rear out a bit similar to the way my 7510 moves.

Please post thoughts or comments.

Merry Christmas to all !! Yes I said Christmas!!!

Roy

Roy,
I don't know about he BX or Kubota at all. Having said that in my part of the world spaces were and are used a fair amount on tractors rear wheels in tobacco fields to get the necessary width for the crop (two rows).

I appreciate the Merry Christmas and to you and your household Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ....

Not for nothing but if he's running a 60" deck he'll be about an inch away from the anti scalp wheels! I don't know that you can't it's been nothing we've tried although we did do some of the old Cadet's years ago and they did work. If he's using a three point hitch load I'd worry over there capacity to carry the additional weight. Otherwise we will probably only know if you try. The small B's are unique as they are about the only cmpact that does offer the adjustable rear axle like the big farm tractor's do. That's from there farm duties where they may need to be adjusted.Good Luck! ....

I should have clarified in my ealier post. There is no mower attachment issue to deal with just the tractor. Does anyone know of a machine shop that could fabricate a 2 inch wheel spacer for the rear wheels of a BX 2200?

Thanks Guys !! ....

I flipped the wheels on my bx ,gained quite a bit , plus put 11 gallons of winshield washer fluid in each tire , huge difference !! ,on the same slope you cannot lift the tractor with both hands, pushing as hard as you can , my slope in the lot next door is so bad that to test it before I did the above, I got off the tractor not realizing how bad it was , the tractor would lift with two fingers on the rops !! , , the deck is harder to get off (54")you have to leave the wheels as they are ,but it pulls out fine , not enough room to turn the right rear deck wheel, the 60" deck as Art said, could be a problem , Craig ....
