Hydraulic Suction Filter Not Changed

Ref 7610HSD & 50 hour initial service - my dealer didn't change the right side hydraulic suction filter. I noticed this around 100 hours when changing a flat tire.

Seeking: 1) opinion on potential damage this might have caused and 2) courses of action with the dealer / warranty ramifications. Thanks. bb

There are two filters and one transmission screen. The filters are supposed to be changed at the 50 hour service, the screen does not get serviced according to the manual until much later.

I doubt any damage can result from this but there is no reason why the job should not have been done fully. I think I would start by having them redo the fluid and 2 filters free of charge. ....

It's always a good idea to clean the suction screen during the 50 hr service. There are always filings from the manufacturing rpocess that you will find on the screen at 50 hrs. It may not be required, but is always a good idea.

Make sure that you document the problem with the dealer service to protect or even extend your warranty. I doubt there was any damage to the tractor. ....
