I need some words from those who have changed out their hydraulic fluid. Just found that my transmission breather element / cap fell off and the vent hole was open and exposed to much dust and dirt. Am concerned about trashing my hydraulic pump and want to get the fluid & filter changed out ASAP. I'd have the dealer do it but getting my machine to their shop is very difficult (timing & practicality vs trying to save $). <br>

Can someone offer me some "how-tos" and "watch-our-fors" info such as ensuring to prime the pump before running etc?<br>

$50 per hour is very reasonable (and defensible for depreciation costs) Its a rough wag I use for my business - though you could justifiably charge $60-65 per hour.

I figure my cost based on hours and years of service before replacement is req'd. We have a rental place just up the road with that size machine - I'll see what he charges.....

Have found 2 sources so far: Toro (you mentioned) and Agrimetal (Quebec firm with a NC distributor). Challenge seems to be one of PTO horsepower - only one model - Agrimetal BW 240 is in the range of B7610 18 Hp PTO capability. Most want 25-30 PTO Hp.

Willie - any info on price range and/or experiences with a blower implement.

Ref 7610HSD & 50 hour initial service - my dealer didn't change the right side hydraulic suction filter. I noticed this around 100 hours when changing a flat tire.<br>

Seeking: 1) opinion on potential damage this might have caused and 2) courses of action with the dealer / warranty ramifications. Thanks. bb

Gents - thanks for the advice/answers. I will be mowing four 1/2 acre plots and one 3 acre ball field. However I wish to do some serious tilling - a number of flower beds and some of grass & leaves gets chopped up in the garden. I do have some 20-30 degree drainage ditches to contend with. May just use the Murray to do those.
