I am having problems with the loader creeping down with or without a load in it. I have only 900 hrs.+/- on it and have changed oil and filters as per owners manual. Where could the problem be in the cylinders or in the control, how does one determine where the problem lies. Any help would be greatly appreciated as there is no dealer/service shop here on the Queen Charlotte Islands

Do a search for the thread titled "hydraulic drift". JD FELs, including mine, do slowly drift down while running or not. Kubota 3 point hitch sometimes experiences the same type of drift. The question is whether the drift is excessive. The FEL on my JD4310 will drop 6 inches in 15-20 minutes. When I was laying down bluestone I would have to go over and lift the FEL every so often to keep the stone where I wanted it. ....

Deere says that a drift of 6 inches or even more is within specs.

I have found that you can lessen the drift by draining the Low-Vis and replacing it with regular Hy-Gard or similar viscosity fluid. ....
