I have a 4300 with a 430 loader. Today putting the loader back on, a weld on one of the side hydraulic pistons broke where the piston rod attaches to the rear mount. This is the third weld that has broken. The other two were for the bucket hydraulic pistons. It seems like a weak spot as the piston shaft is welded to the mounting swival with no other reinforcement. My bicycle frame has reinforcement [sorry I do not know the term for them] and it is under a lot less stress than the loader hydraulics.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I think the term is gusset. I haven't had any problems on my 430 loader and it doesn't seem to be a commonly reported problem. Maybe the welders were having a bad day. ....

I wonder if your loader is racked a bit, adding side-to-side stress on those welds that normally shouldn't be there. ....

I stress my 430 loader to the very max routinely. I lift with bucket and fork grapple till the rear tiptoes and the hydralulics stop moving up. sometimes the load is centered, sometimes not. So far so good, they seem very strong and nothing has cracked or broken yet and I don't expect it to. ....

I also abuse the snot out of my loader. Corner loads, unbalanced loads, push on old rotted stumps, push large logs in woods, back hoe required for ballast on many loads, I cannot see any tweaks or cracks in any components or welds. Can not count the times the rear wheels lift.

Did you buy yours new? ....
