Tractor will not shut off with key

I have a L2850D and I washed the motor this past weekend and after washing the tractor it shut off normally. However, a few hours later and now it will not shut off with the key. Any ideas.

I am not real familiar with that model but I would be looking at wire connectors going to the injector pump. Sound like the shut off solenoid is not working or the wires or connectors may have gotten water in them and caused a short. The other possibility might lie with the ignition switch. ....

I am also not familiar with that model, but I once had an inline fuse come loose which prevented the shutoff solenoid from working. It took a while to diagnose because it only came loose, not all the way out, making it difficult to spot. After fixing the problem, I wrapped the fuseholder with electrical tape to prevent a repeat performance. ....

Thanks for your feed back. I will have to go on company trip, so I will just leave it alone and see if drying for a week makes it go away.
