I finally decided to give up on the idea of making one tractor do it all! My local Deere dealer, (I've purchased 3 tractors from) has a 2003 4210 e-hydro with Turf tires and all the load match options etc. The machine was Sold new in August '03 and currently has 173 hours on the clock. It is like new except for some minor cosmetics scuff marks. The tractor has NO attachments.
I already have the attachment end covered. I can buy for $9,000. He has also extended a clean deal price of $7,000 for a new Z-track 737 with 60 deck.
I would appreciate any advice or personal price experience as I am ready to write the check if I get positive feedback on this deal. You gentlemen have been very helpful since I joined the board. Thanks in advance!!!!!
Mike

Is it MFWD? If so, sounds like a great price. If not, and you don't need a loader, 2WD may work for you but be aware that 2WD models are hard to sell. I think JD discontinued most or all of their 2WD compacts. ....

Forgot to mention, the 4210 is sometimes considered a little underpowered for it's frame size. How are you going to be using it? ....

Sorry.....it is a MFWD. I will be using it mainly for brush cutting and Snowblowing a 900' paved driveway.
I rented a friend's L3010 Kubota with a 78" rear blower this past winter and it worked like a charm. I'm figuring a smaller rear blower should work fine on this tractor.
Thanks for your help. ....

I think the 4210 should be just fine for those purposes. And that is a good price. Machinefinder has one listed similarly equipped (hydro, MFWD, no loader, 133 hrs) for 14.5k asking price. ....

Good luck on your deal! Glad to see you signed up as a premium member - welcome aboard.
There's a long thread that discusses all the sordid details of my rollover. You can click on it below if you're interested. Thankfully nobody was hurt and the tractor was unscathed, but you can bet I'm a lot more careful now. ....

That is a very good price...especailly through a dealer. It should even have a few months of factory warranty on it yet. You'll love it. Enjoy! ....
