Hello everyone, I'm a newby here to the small tractor world but an old farm boy from the bigger diesel world of the past!
I am going to purchase a new compact diesel 4x4 and came upon the Kioti website and am really impressed. I want the tractor to be able to to accomplish the following tasks with the following attachments/implements:
-quick detach loader
-backhoe with subframe
-rear pto roto tiller
-rear pto post hole digger
-3 pt hitch box blade
-front mount pto snowblower
Now then, that being said, I was looking real hard at the Kioti LK3054XS, seems to be a lot of bang for the buck. I need the most powerful tractor I can get in the most compact package I can get and this one seems to really fit the bill. My only concern with this set up would be the front mounted pto driven snowblower. Would it be powered off the crankshaft stub in front of the engine (how would you turn it on off) or is there a mid mount pto? Can I get an aftermarket front mount pto snowblower that will fit the Kioti quick attack bucket arms?
I think the shuttle shift tranny will be the ticket for front loader work over the HST in the other models.
Other Kioti's including the LK25/LK30 are an option but start getting a little stretchy in both overall length and width. I have also been looking at the Mahindra's which appear to be real heavy duty bad boys. The only downfall to the Mahindra's are that the mid mount pto's are only available on their HST models!
The Kubota's and Deere's seem to be on the lighter side and of course, more money! So I think I'll steer clear of them!
Sorry to get wordy here but I'm stuck here in southeast Alaska and I don't have a lot of time to go down south and check them all out! What have you guys got to say about what I'm thinking? Thanks!

gozarian; Any of the brands you mention will do the things you want to acomplish. I don't know how plentiful dealers of any brand are in your region, but that's a real concern for service and parts down the road. Pick a brand that your comfortable with. Best of luck. Frank. ....

Thanks hardwood, dealers are NOT plentiful where I am. The nearest Kioti dealer is in Anchorage (about 650 miles to the west as the crow flies) and the nearest Mahindra dealer is down in Washington! ....

If you plan to blow snow, have you considered a cab?
Also, the thing most people find surprising is how much work you can get out of what appears to be a very small tractor.
You can accomplish everything on your list with a Kubota BX23 and the whole unit is easily trailer-able behind a 1/2 ton pick-up on a 16 foot trailer.
Not all compacts are engineered to take a front blower as you have already learned, but they all will take a rear blower.
My brother in Eagle River moved his blower to the rear of his tractor after several years of using it on the front. This gives the advantage of having the FEL to stack snow and do clean-up work. He also reported that it was a real chore to mount/dismount the blower on the front and relatively easy to do so on the rear.
Your best tractor deals are likely to be in Portland. There is lots of competition there which keeps the prices low and there is no sales tax hassle.

No, I haven't considered a cab because I think it would inhibit its ability to get into tight places.
Also, I know the front mount snowblowers are more money; I've spent enough years on a tractor seat looking around behind me and have acquired a "farmers shoulder" that I don't want to do that any more! Thanks for your input! ....

I've had a rear mount farm tractor size blower for years. It will make a lot of snow dissapear in a hurry. It's easy to mount and did'nt cost a lot. I've allways admired a front mount for the same reasons as you, but granted they are pricey. The last few winters haven't been so bad so I've got along with a pickup plow and haven't had to use the blower. Perhaps you get lots of snow and a blower is an all winter machine, then that's adifferent story. Frank. ....

I have the skid steer type quick attach bucket on my DK 35.
I plow my driveway with a 7' front blade and a 7' blade on the rear.
With the quick attach I can drop the bucket and hook up the front blade in no time. (about 1 minute) ....
