Can someone explain to me how to set the tapered pin on the steering linkage at the front of the tractor. I have replaced everything including the pump, hoses and ram. I have got the tractor to turn but the power steering pump overheats within 5 minutes of running; so hot you cannot put yor hand on it. I checked that the hoses were on correctly and not blocked, adjusted the small actuator rod on the ram. ANY help would be appreciated.

What tapered pin are you asking about? There are at least three different steering configurations for the 245. Who knows which one you have?
ASSUMING here, your tractor has full hydrostatic steering, and not the funky setup with the internal cylinder and a drag link on each side. ....
