Is it kpossible to hook up a rear PTO to an 1812 hydro? How? Where to get?

I don't know Cubs so I'm not sure if there's a mid-pto and a mid-to rear conversion is the idea or if there's no pto at all. Conversions are possible but often prohibitively expensive. The rpm's are usually different and sometimes the direction of rotation also is wrong. They also often compromise ground clearance.

If adding a drive where none exists is the idea, I used to think that it wasn't feasible. Normally the drive trains and cases for pto equipped tractors are quite different so a lot would have to be replaced. I was surprised to hear that a kit was available and it wasn't too expensive. Too bad I can't remember for which tractor. I'd check with a dealer to see if any factory conversions or kits are available. The rear to mid-conversions I looked at for my Ford were from after-market manufacturers but I doubt that pto add-on kits would be available from after-market sources. I've been surprised many times before though. I'm thinking of this in terms of conventional pto drives but I am aware that some garden tractors have belt driven drives where add-ons may be easier.

I wouldnt be surprised if it was an factory option for that machine, since it was heavy duty garden tractor...local dealer hopefully will have the data base available to check..

I'm not aware of any rear PTO options being available direct from Cub-Cadet for this model garden tractor. Cub sells/sold belt driven rear tillers. I have one! The belt goes from the front and goes through a few bends to get all the way to the rear. The belt is long. You also need a lift connection that mounts to the rear pumpkin. If you want to run a generator, I have a 4,000 Watt unit running off of a frame to the left front of the tractor. It also runs off the belt. You need to remove the left hood side cover and cut a small window in the motor shroud.

I don't know what your intentions are with a rear PTO, either of the above are a more simple approach with belts but aren't is rugged as a rear PTO drive. ....

I can check the books as I believe they did have one but why would you want one? They were not at 540rpm and the only tool they made to run with it is was a tiller. ....

I did want to use a tiller, I also have an auger I would like to use. It fits on my 3 pt, just needs power source. ....
