Anyone know of a decent reasonably priced rotary broom for the 2210? My dealer wants $2500 for a 51" one and I thinks that rediculous. Thanks

Mike, you have a 47" snowblower listed in your info. Is that a Deere front blower? ....

Yes, it's the 47" JD blower. I think the quick attach mount for the blower would work for a broom.
Did you get my email last week? ....

What exactly did you have in mind for the rotary broom? Flight line sweep up? Can you use a blower instead of the rotary broom? Might get the same job done but cheaper. Just a thought as those rotary brooms are pricey. ....

Got your e-mail and I will re-send my reply when I fire up the "morning computer" tomorrow.
The reason I ask about the front blower is I just bought a new 4115 and got the same front blade + hydraulics + mounting system that you would use on your 2210 and it was under $1k.
So if you already have the mounting system, the drive shaft and accouterments, it boggles the mind that
JUST THE FLIPPEN BROOM
would price out that high.
Are you dealing with watch-a-ma-call-it over on Post Road?
Maybe I can put you in touch with the folks I used in Portland and they can do a better deal for you. ....

Chief, I have 200' of new asphalt drive plus the parking/approach ramps around the house. I takes me 3 hours to power wash it (summertime) and thought a broom would be the ticket. While I was contouring the drive's banks I covered all 200' with dirt/rocks..etc. THAT took almost all day to clean with the power washer
! ....

Mark, yep..dealing with Craig Taylor Equipment Co., but one out in Wasilla. They ARE pretty proud of their stuff but it's kinda tough ordering from outside since shipping on heavy implements is breathtaking. I wonder if I could fit a broom on the blower replacing the auger.......? I don't think so but sometimes I start dreaming stuff up. A welder's next. ....
