-Have a 4110 bought new last year. The actual maker of the machine is Kanzaki Kokyukoki Mfg. which is fine, and I know most compacts are made in Japan (like most everything else it seems).
-I know that Yanmar has been hooked with JD for years, and made many of the Deere compacts and still make the 790 among others, and that the Yanmar engine is of course still used in many JD products.
-Here is my question: I was at a local dealer the other day, and looking over a 4010, 4115 and 2110 I noticed they ALL had Yanmar as the Mfg. company on the frame. (Of course they had no 4110 in stock for me to verify this model)
-The question is, did Yanmar take over this other company and that is it or did they take over making these units for JD and if so are the other units made by the other company different in any way? (worse/better?)
Well, as I was typing this I realised maybe I can just find the answer if I search online!! So I think I have much of my answer here:
http://www.yanmar.co.jp/english/aboutus/whats-new/news/0206/conts01.htm
I left the post as is in case anyone else was wondering the same, also still not sure if the two machines would be the same 100%, although it seems they would...
I also found the date of the "restructure" interesting since I bought the "old labelled" 4110 only a year ago.

Interesting. It sounds like one of those management things where changes are made just so they can say they're doing something. ....
