I've got a JD 4300 with a 47 hoe, It's been great. Probably have 60 hours on the hoe. It is a piece of cake to take the hoe on/off. JD has, by far, the easiest setup for a sub-frame mounted hoe. See if you can check the on/off operation at a local dealer, they may have a tractor there with a hoe on it.

It took some time getting used to the hookup of the backhoe. I have a 4300 and 47 hoe.

I would second the notion of getting the hoe onto the rockshaft arms, and raise it. Shut the tractor down, then connect the hydraulics. Once the hydraulics are connected, start the tractor, and use the stabilizers to gently nudge the hoe into place for the pins. I can now take the hoe on or off in under 10 minutes, with very little effort. It's probably the easiest to attach because of the stabilizers making the adjustments-I wish I could say the same for my 3pt finish mower.

jimbopa, looks like a pretty fair deal. I wouldn't complain about that price at all. I'd try to get them to throw something else in for free just for the heck of it (for $250-$500). That's a lot of $$ to spend, so try for your 50 hour service(unless you would do it on your own), a rear blade, chainsaw, push mower, trimmer, etc.

That's what I did with my dealer. I had a price that I saw as very resonable, but I also needed a small-mower. Told them if they threw one in, I'd sign the papers today. I got a JD-js61 for nothing (list approx $370).

Just an idea for you. Again, sounds like a fair price on the tractor.

That's a high price on the tractor.

I bought a brand new 4300 hydro 2 months ago with the 47 hoe, 430 loader, 6' rear blade, 6' landscape rake, rear finish mower, and 65" tiller for $29,100. Plus I they threw in a JS61 self-propelled walk behind mower.

They should knock off another $3000 to get you in the ballpark.
