How do you tell if the the tire is tubeless or has tubes. Its 4WD Kubota bought new want to replace the original front tires.

Also saw some videos showing how to self install. Is that reasonable or best to go to a tire dealer, and are auto tire dealers keen on doing it ?

The stem looks slightly different where it passes thru the rim. A tube stem will pass thru the rim having an OD small than the rim hole. A tubeless stem will have a larger OD where it traps itself inside and outside the rim pinching it in place.

I would go to a tire dealer in your area that specializes in working with tractor tires. I live in a farming area where there are a few. Unless you have experience in working with large stiff tires and have the tools necessary to remove the tires, I'd get it done. You also need a high output air compressor to pop the bead. ....

By high output air compressor that means my 28 gallon vertical Campbell Hausfeld 150 max Psi and 4 scfm would not be enough?

Had not thought about that as being inadequate.

Thanks so much for the advice.

It takes allot of volume to pop a large tubeless tire and seat the bead. Some use ether or starting fluid and light it. That takes guts or no brains unless you know what you are doing.

You can burn, bruise or kill yourself if you mess up.

On small tubeless lawn tractor front tires. I put a load binder around the circumference in the center and draw it down until the tire bead contacts the rim. A modest output air compressor with then pop and seat the bead. Don't over inflate? After seating, let the air back out and release the binder. The tire will still be seated. Then reinflate to desired pressure. ....
