A buddy has a 4x8 ft manure spreader that runs off the PTO. I have a JD 4310. Does the 4310 PTO have enough power to run a manure spreader? It would make my life much easier for fertilizing the lawn in areas that are really bad.

I don't know what brand of spreader it is or any more info than I've posted. I'm in El Paso all week for work. So I am unable to get more details.

Unless it is some strange kind of spreader, you should be fine. I have spread plenty of manure with an old farmall H (gas with less HP than 4310) pulling much larger spreader and it never even struggled. 4 x8 is almost the size for a lawn tractor to pull, and spreaders for those are usually ground drive. If it is for sale, those small spreaders seem to command a very high price around here due to all the hobby/horse farmers wanting a small one. ....
