Has anyone priced a backhoe for a 7800?
I'm thinking about looking into getting one. I prefer to stay with Kubota because they should know best what type to put on the machine, but would consider other brands. I'm just trying to get a ballpark figure and what all is involved.

This past Monday I checked out prices with the dealer in Spokane. The Kubota 4690 at $6700.00 and the Great Bend 2165 at $5500.00. Just starting my research so don't know which is the best way to go. I also have the 7800 which is a great tractor.

I also have the 7800, love it.
I don't have any Great Bend equipment, but from what I have heard, stay away from it. Several people have complained of serious quality issues.
I wouldn't recommend a 3-point backhoe without a subframe. You can do some serious damage to the tractor and void your warranty. For a 20 year old tractor out of warranty, a lot of things are possible. For a new tractor under warranty, stay with the Kubota implements for FEL and BH. You know they are engineered and performance mathched. ....

As best I can tell, some of the Great Bend stuff comes out of the same factory as John Deere backhoes. ....
