I am looking at King Kutter 5ft for $1350.00,Are these tillers worth the money and are they chain or gear models. Thanks in advance

The King Kutter II tillers are gear drive.
In my opinion, yes they are worth the money.
A very good tiller for the $. ....

Mine has worked well. I waited until they went on sale late last winter and got one for $1100 at TSC.
According to the web page, they are gear drive.
The owners manual is available online at the link listed. Bandwidth warning: The file is 1.8 MB. It has exploded parts diagrams in the back.
