what weight and type hydraulic oil is used in my agracat jm254 tractor.

In your climate, Missouri, I would recommend using AW32 hydraulic oil. If you work it hard in the hot summer months and not much in the winter you might need AW46, but I really doubt it.
15W40 diesel engine oil, 85W90 gear oil for the transmission and front drive assembly, engine oil in the injector pump and you should be good to go. ....

Just an addendum about the gear oil; 85W90 is synthetic, and your tractor holds nearly 5 gallons of the stuff. 80W90 conventional gear oil is more than adequate - for a helluva lot less money.

Good point, Greg. I meant to type 80W90, not a designation for synthetic. No real point in using synthetic in a system where things are moving that slowly and the fluid should be changed in 5600 hours anyway. ....
