Can anyone help with a problem that just started with the TC35. It starts fine, runs fine but wont turn off. When turning the key to off position the Alt light comes on and keeps running. Turning the key back to run position causes the glow plug light to come on. have to stall the tractor to turn off. Replaced the ignition switch a couple of yrs ago, could it be bad or a loose connection somewhere? Or has the ignition switch gone bad ? Thanks for any help figuring this out.

Sadly I think I would start with replacing the switch which seems to a chronic issue with these NH tractors. ....

A diesel is not a ignition fired type engine. You have to cut the fuel flow. There is a fuel shut off solenoid on the fuel pump that is suppose to do that for you. Normally, with the key off, the solenoid, under spring pressure, will shut it off. Are you getting power to the solenoid after the key is off? Is the solenoid stuck in the energized position? ....

Thats what i'm thinking but the dash lights are confusing me. Why would the alt light come on when switched to off and then when switched back to run position the glow plug light comes on. Do you think that the solenoid being stuck open might cause that? Thanks for you input ....
