Why are tractor prices so secretive? If you're purchasing a car there are many sites with recomended prices for new and used vehicles. I also have had no luck locating prices for equipment (land pride). I have a chance to buy a DH1560 disc, landscape rake and FS500 spreader for $1650.00.
By the way when I finally selected a tractor I got a TC24d with a 12LA loader and a 72" landpride bush hog.

Tractors dealers like small town car dealers traditionally did not need to compete very much if someone needed equipment they could not go very far. People looking for service needed to look only in the local area, therefore they could charge more and not compete out side there local. ....
