Quoted $12900 for gc2300 with fel, 60"mmm and ag tires. Should I look for a better price?

I really would like the bar tires, they are not very aggressive. Should I be concerned about tearing up my yard when mowing?

IMHO that's a pretty good price. I have the ag tires which leave their mark in a couple soft spots but I wouldn't change since FEL use is high. Would suggest rear weights if using FEL alot or liquid in tires but that's extra weight when mowing. My rear blade provides balance when using FEL. Also I just added a toothbar to FEL and wish I had it from day 1. ....

I was told the Massey does not have a float position on the 3pt hitch. Would this be a pain for box blading, tilling, or running a posthole digger? ....

I wanted to check before answering on the float position. My tractor is out of commission due to a sharp stump going through a front tire. I took both front tires to the dealer to have them foam filled and am waiting for their return.

I use a rear blade and believe that when you release the 3pt handle after putting it in the down position it is in float. To cause the 3pt to apply downward pressure, you have to push down on the handle. I will verify this when I get my tires back. ....

I think you are talking about "position control", this is a lever that instead of just up down movement on the 3 PH, you can move the lever to where you want it and the hitch goes there. I do not know if the GC has that, most sub compacts do not.

I just had a demo at an MF dealer with the 2300 with the 2350 loader and he said it does float when back blading with the leaver in the nutral position ....

When I got my bx 23 I could have bough the Bx 2230 set up like this for 11700.

I have bar tires and this is not an issue even when mowing with the FEL and BH attached.
