Can anyone tell me what the blue indicator lamp on the dash is for? It is not described in my book, and never comes on, but appears to be for a (work light?)

Check if it comes on when the headlights are on high beam.

I guess ?I could try a little 'Mark humour' and try to tell you it's there in case you go too fast, the little blue light blinks tells you to slow down.....at least that's how it works on the road.......

I appreciate the humor. I'll see if the wife falls for it. ;)

The light issue was only a curiosity since I am getting familiar with this new tractor. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't supposed to come on with the headlights or something.
